I say let's bring the Louisiana boy home. Like Frank, he has very strong ties to Nola Southern LA. Would be a great recruiter and coach. What do yall think?

If LSU wants him, he can be a part of this staff.

The people who flame you are dumb because no coach has a loyalty to anything but the almighty dollar.

He was never formally announced. I was under the impression he could still come to LSU if he wanted to.

Has there been anything at all saying he could even be a possible hire?

He's my second choice.

First choice is to move Tony Ball to RB coach and hire Curtis Johnson to coach receivers. Win-win.

Why does everyone like Juluke? What am I missing? And didn't Tech just hire him?

So he can be separate from the staff? Maybe you mean he can be "a part of this staff"

He's the next Frank Wilson, recruiting-wise. A bundle of energy, too.

without a doubt! In fact, one could argue that he may have "fresher" connections with NOLA talent. State-wide is a different argument.

LSU could have hired Juluke as their WR coach in the offseason.

Yes, Tech just hired him but he hasn't even been introduced. Wouldn't be the first time a coach bolted quickly for greener pastures. Like others have said, he's the next big thing in the New Orleans coaching community. He is very highly respected by the community there and will be a successful recruiter.

For those who don't know, Tony Ball was RB coach at UGA before he coached receivers. Knowshon Moreno was his best protégé.

He has north La connections because of La Tech. Tim Fletcher talking on show right now about how awesome he is with the kids.

I'm more worried about recruiting ability than actually coaching the position. But there needs to be a balance I guess.

Does anybody think Burton Burns would leave Bama to come home?

It's possible. He's older than the other candidates though and has made a long living off recruiting against LSU. It might be too late for him to turn that around.
