Yeah but every now and then when you had everything set just right you would get a cool play out of it. I freakin' loved that game.

As sad as it is to say....many of my Tennessee fans, said they had to quit showing up to the games,
to get FULMER and DOOLEY fired. What I hate is that Georgia will be in contention for someone good that we may have had a shot. I knew Jimbo wouldn't leave a $5M job in an easy conferece and come to SEC West. Why would we not have a few guys already gauging their interest in a position with LSU as HC. This was handled very badly, so much in fact that Les won. Now will he use this to get a contract and extension? Again what most don't see LES is still taking care of himself. I would be happy to leave a job and take $15 M (security for life) but that is just me. We pay coaches to fail at their job. We were justified in firing him, but failed in the process we used as the whole country watched a debacle unfold. And, sympathy went to Les. Again I don't hate LES I just love LSU more and our program.

HAPPY PRANKSGIVING ! It's a new Holiday on the Saturday after Thanksgiving. It's called Pranks-giving, and traditionally celebrants will troll, and otherwise play silly but clever pranks on one another.
Coach Miles, you GOT us on Pranksgiving! We owe you one!
Happy Pranksgiving, everybody.

Because the only two options are sloppy wins over lousy teams or entertaining losses.

That was actually a cool video. He certainly has passion and enjoys coaching. He looks at ease on the field, like a real person rather than the caricature he is in front of the camera.
I just wish his offenses wouldn't suck so hard.

I want to know if I can find on the internet a video of Les Miles conducting a coaches clinic or explaining some of the plays on offense!
Videos of him during practice explaining things to players. He probably feels the average fan is stupid. And he wouldn't be wrong.
The guy can coach.

No it hasnt but continue being football ignorant. Just because you can't se the difference between what ran under Jimbo Crowton and Cam doesn't mean it doesn't exist.

111 wins of pure luck. Most be excruciating for you.

Yep. Unfortunately, I think it came across as support for keeping Les, rather than a fond and grateful farewell.

This. Outside of the 1st quarter of Miss St, the Auburn game, 2nd quarter vs Florida, 2nd half of the USCe game, and second half vs WKU, we've looked like a discombobulated mess.
Oh and Fournette ripping through Syracuse and Eastern Michigan like tissue paper.

Hey man, the majority of LSU fans in that stadium in the south end zone stadium club were all GLAD and ready for the change.
It was a nice setting and most people were chanting for les to be nice and send him out with respect.

and at the very least have some sort of specialty
Being a former offensive lineman, one might think that specialty would be offensive line, but I would say that OL, TE, and QB have been the worst positions for development with Miles. And when people talk about talent being the main reason for LSU Victories, the developmental issues at these positions are major factors.
There have been 41 LSU players recruited/signed by Miles that have been NFL Draft Picks.
2 Offensive Linemen - Joe Barksdale (3rd Round), Trai Turner (3rd Round).
0 Tight Ends.
1 Quarterback - Zach Mettenberger (6th Round).
Now, La'el Collins definitely would have been drafted (most likely 1st Round) if not for the murder investigation. But La'el was a stud before he even played a down for LSU. Plus, I think he should have been gotten more playing time his freshman year. Anyway, the point is that I don't think Miles deserves credit for developing La'el Collins.

Identity problem is an understatement for sure! The whole nation and people who don't even care about football can recognize it. I'm disappointed that we didn't move on.. I really thought everyone wanted change, but then came the overwhelming support? What are we bipolar as fans?
I truly believe the "support" was misconstrued. I believe it was more thanks for the good times, have a good life. Even Les and his family seemed to be enjoying his farewell tour. I believe the majority of LSU fans understood it was time to move on.
The terrible way this was handled by LSU led to fans, myself included, feeling Miles deserved better. Not better, like in keeping him, but better in not leaking his firing and letting him twist in the wind. This whole situation a bundgled mess and we end up where we started from. With a coach who probably has seen his best days.

List of LSU Tigers players in the NFL Draft
41 total players recruited/signed by Miles. By position:
QB - 1
RB - 6
WR - 7
TE - 0
OL - 2
DL - 11
LB - 5
DB - 9
Of course, this is not an exact measure of development for many different reasons, but for a program like LSU, this breakdown is an indicator that offensive linemen are not being developed well. You don't need to look at these numbers to know that. If you've watched the OL over the years, you've seen it.
LSU has had some really good TEs with Miles, but I don't think they've developed/improved a lot, and I think some of that can be attributed to lack of involvement (e.g., DeSean Smith). Some guys haven't developed well physically (also applies to OL). I think Nic Jacobs and Dillon Gordon have been the best blocking TEs, and both of those guys had great raw power from the start of their careers. I don't think they developed a lot, and they definitely weren't given the opportunity to develop as complete TEs.
Also, no fullbacks that were signed by Miles have been drafted. There aren't a lot of fullbacks drafted in general. In the last five years, 18 fullbacks have been drafted.
Number of Drafted Fullbacks
2015 - 4
2014 - 3
2013 - 3
2012 - 3
2011 - 5
Jacob Hester and Quinn Johnson were drafted, but they were both recruited/signed by Saban. However, from a head coach standpoint, I do think Miles deserves a lot/most of the credit for their development. (I'm not saying Miles deserves most of the credit for their development. I'm saying when attributing credit to a head coach, I think Miles deserves more credit than Saban in the development of these two.)
Overall, I think fullback development has been better than OL and TE development. There have also been some good fullbacks who had potential, but didn't finish their careers for different reasons (e.g., Melvin Jones, Thomas Parsons, Dominique Allen).
