A rebuilding year following a Championship. It is what it is. It’s just baseball.

This was going to be an obvious down year with all the production we lost. There is simply no repeating what LSU did last season.

What’s completely unacceptable Is a 2-7 record to start SEC play, and losses to Stony Brook and Southern already. This should never happen at LSU. The lineup is abysmal, and the pitching is not much better.

I understand the logic. I’m just curious who will step up and actually contribute next year. Tommy, Travinksi, Bingham, Milazo will for sure be gone.

Kling and Neal have for the most part been hugely disappointing.

We returned 2 starters in the field. Lost our Friday and Saturday starters and our dh.

People just thought lsu and wake would plug and play.

I think it’s going to be tougher than some might think. We’ll be losing Milazzo, Travinski, Bingham, Ack, Tommy, Hellmers, Little. Other possible losses are Jones, Braswell, Pearson, Neal, Hurd, Holman

I get beat up on here for saying the team isn’t any good but the record is what it is and no denying it. Yes Florida is good and Arkansas is good but you almost get swept by state and like someone mentioned lose to stony brook and southern but hey that’s baseball

This isn’t a 25 man MLB roster that can dominate for 6-8 seasons. We lost a lot from last year and it hurts. It hurts because last year’s talent paid huge dividends in wins and championship.

I just have to hope that Coach Jay and his staff can put together a stronger roster the next two years to get us back to Omaha. I am proud of the NC but I don’t want to see JJ end up like Paul Mainieri. Hopefully we can strike hot on the transfer portal.

And who would want to transfer to LSU with what's going on now??

In the finality.....this is a good lesson for folks to not take what went on in all those preseason games as to what's gonna take place in conference ball!!

Jones, Guidry and Kling are the draft eligible sophomores on the current LSU team. Neal reclassified and graduated a year early from high school and entered LSU as a 17 year old freshman and will not be eligible for the draft before 2025. So, unless he hits the transfer portal, Neal will be back at LSU next year.

True. But there’s a big gap between what we did last season and where we are now and we should’ve fallen somewhere in the middle of that gap

Watch them play in the sun. Go to a nun, pray they can score a run. Hope I don’t have to buy a gun.

Yeah, we were unrealistic to say the least. You can't just replace a Skenes and Crews easily. And a few players are not making even close to the grade they were expecting. Feel bad for them.

When somebody says "It's just baseball" I've come to learn that means garbage play.

I agree - we lost a lot but I didn’t expect us to be this far down. Surely a lot of it is mental. Are they overthinking it, not thinking enough?? No confidence, too much confidence (think we’ve fixed that by now if that was it…). There is talent there - and losing to other talented teams is not shocking. Playing like the bad news bears, however, is appalling.
