It is close to jumping the shark. It has no competition so it does whatever it wants and we will still watch it. But gameday and sportscenter are slowly becoming farces. ESPN is becoming so powerful that it is like the NCAA, suspending journalists and firing musicians. Since when does football coverage include detailed discussion of uniforms, using the phrase "fashion po-po". CBS needs to own coverage of the SEC and start something like gameday

Why would it be any different on CBS? Do you ever watch the NFL pregame shows on Fox or CBS....they've got just as much hokey shite going on as Gameday.

I also don't get the hate for EA. She's not the smoothest host, but she's gotten a little better since last year. I guess I don't know her as well as y'all do, but she seems likable to me.

I don't hate her, she is just terrible at hosting. Sideline reporting, meh, hosting...ugh.

An alternative would be nice. I think Sat Radio is the closest we've got.

You're exactly right. Much of the time, these shows have far too many people that think they're comedians.
A little humor is fine and has it's place, but too much time is spent on things other than reporting what is going on on the field.

Why the hell would anyone watch that? You want to hear more of Verne? You want to see a 2 hr long show with 45 minutes of coverage and over an hr of commercials? CBS is my least favorite coverage of college football, 2 idiot announcers and they force the game to be at least 30 minutes to an hr longer everytime they cover a game.
