O saying everything that should be said and actually addressing issues instead of lying. It's nice seeing him give answers to questions. All in for O

He lied about our passing game or he just didn't pay attention. I prefer O telling it like it is. Also love that we sat guys for not practice harf

Whatever he told them in the locker room at half-time did the trick, but we cannot afford to have another lackluster half like that. Not if we want to run the table.

And the stupid/selfish personal foul penalties have to stop.
Like yesterday, they need to stop.

We had some decent punts, but kickoffs still looking short. Think our overall coverage looked good tonight, in any case.

Great job protecting the ball. Next week will be interesting.

I like all the changes he has made. Its about the process and the plan. O has laid out a pretty good plan.

he has set the tone of how we will get back to competing and if we give him the same budget we gave miles he will bring in top assistants and let them actually do their jobs.

You're actually on board with buying out Miles and making the dline coach the head coach?

If we can't get Herman or Jimbo, then I'm good with O if he goes 5-2. I see him as a better option than any other tier 2 option out there.

Ed O positives: he is running practice like its Pete Carrol USC, he pulled DA U move and has brought in former players to hold current players to a program standard, he is letting his assistants do work, if we give him the same budget as Les then I'm confident he can pull in top talent. He appears to have learned from his ole miss stint.

We also know that O can recruit so talent will be stocked. Ideally if Herman goes to Texas and Jimbo stays at FSU we give O a 4 year 2.5 million type contract with a low buyout. We load it up with incentives and if he wins something then his buyout and contract goes up and up.

Any other coach besides Herman or Jimbo is a gamble. Im not saying there aren't any I like which i do like plenty but O has done what I think he should so far.

Don't make the same mistake USC did. He's improved leaps and bounds since his stint at Ole Miss.
I'm a fan.

Agreed. We have looked better.

Miles was only given that budget because of his success at lsu, early in his tenure. The reason we hired miles in the first place was because we went cheap.

I wouldn't look at hiring O as going cheap. He is as good as any tier 2 option. Also I doubt we go cheap with money for his assistants. Joe understands how major programs win. Its the reason Jimbo is willing to talk to us and was going to jump from FSU.

O has the inside track on the tier 2 guys and he has done the brilliant move of getting local media and former players on his side.

He isnt the best option besides them two. If he was, he wouldn't be the dline coach at lsu.

That pretty much buried USC and well the U isn't what LSU should strive to be

the way Carrol had them practice didn't bury them. outside stuff did that. The dedicated days and the more mental aspect being run like a NFL team is what made USC so good. He is doing that.

DA U when good made it a point to have former players involved.

he is taking the good things that were done at other programs and putting them in here.

He clearly learned from his past mistakes at ole miss. The guy was 6-2 at usc and is now 2-0 here. any tier 2 coach is a gamble, I think the biggest positive on O is he can recruit lights out.

I think unconditionally now, O is three on my list, only behind Herman and Jimbo.
