It’s good that BK got to beat Saban before he left.

I know BK is confident, but having that one skin against the best has to get you fired up in the mornings knowing the playing field has leveled out and it’s time to make a surge.
And that D staff he put together, wow.
Nice job coach.

I think CBK said that was on his bucket list.

I’d say it’s a fun topic in his lifetime of stories now

And not to mention it was one of the best football games I had ever witnessed in Tiger Stadium.

Charlie Weatherbie at ULM got to beat Saban before HE left.

That’s good too.

Kelly only dreams of repeating Orgeron's accomplishments. His job is easier since Saban retired.
However, now he has to be concerned with beating Ole Miss.

BKs experience was knowing that Saban had an overtime game plan, and experience showed that Saban had the edge. BK made up his mind days before that he'd go for 2 in that situation. It paid off.

Interesting tidbit from Sabans retirement interview with Reese, he talked about what led him to his decision to retire. Saban said he had to spend extra time with the defense this year, and if he were really meeting his own expectations that he would have been able to spend more time working on a better play for 4th and 3 against Michigan. He felt like he was no longer meeting his own expectations.

Didn’t he do that in 22?

Yes, and it's good Saban lost his last game in TS.

The SEC will still be a gauntlet. We lose Saban but the very next year pick up Texas and Oklahoma. Especially if we go to a nine team sec schedule. Will still take quite a run each year to make it in the 12 team playoff. The regular season will have so many stacked games though which will be fun.

Kelly will never destroy the lsu program like O did that’s for sure. Breaking losing records not seen since the 90s were some amazing accomplishments for O.

O's last 2 years @ LSU: 11-12, 0 ten win seasons

BKs last 2 years @ LSU: 20-7, 2 ten win seasons, while fixing O's abortion.

I think that it means more than you think.
If it was the other way around I think something would be missing from the Kelly era when it’s all said and done.
And the fact he got him at home in arguably one of the most exciting games in TS history is even better.
There would be a hollowness there had he not.

Yes, but this post has way too much of a Jerry Stoval vibe.
