It's clear that this board is now a bastion of anti-O sentiment.

You are apoplectic that LSU might hire O, and your hysteria has made you secretly (if not openly) pull against your team for the rest of the season. You resent that you have to do it, but dammit, anybody is better than O.
Honestly you are like Clinton voters. You are aghast that anyone with a brain would ever want O as the coach. You view O supporters as uninformed hayseeds. I don't see many O folks left on this board, because you have shouted them down.
Personally, I don't really have a preference for this job (unless w're talking about Larry Fedora, whom I don't want), but I'll probably keep buying my tickets no matter who is hired.

20-28 and you want to hand over the keys to a top 8 program to him? Sounds like you are the Clinton-types, ignore all facts and reality and just go off emotion.
If you compare his resume to Jimbo, it's not even a contest.

I'm riding with O, until he's no longer the HC at LSU.

I view most O supporters as football fans that couldn't tell me what 1st and 10 is.

Here is what I'm going to love in the coming weeks. And I'll preface this I would like Tom Herman, but I am not opposed to O at all if Herman is unavailable. Okay so the tigers are going to whip Florida's arse O support will ratchet up all over tiger town. The anti O smarter than the average Cajun crowd will deride, insult, and threaten bodily harm on O supporters. LSU will curb stomp aTm in college station, the gumps will pummel Auburn and LSU will go the Sugar Bowl. Alleva will announce that Eddie O is the next LSU coach. The anti-O crowd will take to the streets burning cars and breaking windows in the state capital. A gang of Cajuns from down the bayou will march up La 1 and beat the shite out of these intellectuals and they'll run crying for a safe space.

Good for you.
My support for LSU has never been conditional. I will always support the team. That doesn't mean I have to support the coach. I thought Miles was a moron, yet I still supported the team. I can do the same for O, if he is in fact hired.
O supporters might feel shouted down because they can't answer simple questions, like why should LSU be the proving grounds that O has changed? Or why O did worse than both his predecessor and successor? Or what exactly did O learn from his time as a terrible head coach?

Fwiw I want Fisher. It's a top 5-10 job, so you get a top 5-10 coach.
He's thrashed every team LSU has faced, except the number 1 team in the county, and even then, he gave them the best game they've had all year. 0 points is still 0 points, and until the OLine and QB taken improves, Jimbo, Herman, Petrino, and Kiffin will not take down a team like Alabama. But through 5 games, he's shown that he can run the program.
At Ole Miss? First time head coach who shouldn't have been there in the first place. For those who want Herman, remember that Orgeron was once thought of as a "can't miss" assistant on the rise. His time at Ole Miss stunk, but Houston Nutt doesn't win 9 games without Orgeron's players.
He's 4-1 now, and has the team playing better than any Les Miles team in the past 2.5 years. He did the same at USC compared to Kiffin, and I guarantee that 99% of the USC boosters wish they'd have stuck with O rather than go for Sark. He's done a better job than Sark, Kiffin and Miles did with the same talent.
Delegation of authority. He's said that in just about every interview--he realizes he can't coach every position individually and he needs to trust his assistants to do their job. So far, the defense is one of the best in the country and the offense has set records in 4/5 games.
Again, I'm all in for Fisher. Anyone that thinks O. Should be given first crack and the job is flat out wrong. But to say he brings nothing to the table is ridiculous. The team is playing lights out, and he's held together a great recruiting class, despite Miles being fired.
Regardless, in typical LSU fashion, no matter who gets the job, half of the fan base will bitch and moan any time the team fails to convert a 3rd down and say "see!! I told you that dumbass [INSERT COACH] couldn't coach. I hope LSU loses out this year so we can get someone else in here!"
