Compare the talent from his 1st year to this year.

So you're saying he succeeded with Trent's talent but hasn't been able to re-stock the pantry? He's a terrible recruiter. NO BIGS!

This would be worsening the case for Johnny.

Is there any hope it will be better next year then? Is there a potential for a good class to come in and save him? This isn't even a snarky comment/question, I have payed 0 attention to recruiting so I have no idea who or who isn't coming in.

Sauces say at least 2-3 guys (think guys who can actually play somewhat) are gone if he returns. He gone.

Yeah, I don't know if that is the best argument in Jones' favor.

His first team had 2 sub 6'0 guards (who everyone erroneously blamed for the defensive woes that would become a Jones trademark); a 6'5 guy (Coleman) who was forced to play the 4 most of the time; JOBIII who was an All-SEC player and a 7'2" Tuba player.

Hell, I'd argue Jones' first season at LSU was his best coaching job. It's been 3 years of underachieving and a complete disaster this year since

No one would have thought the Hollywood approach would backfire. The cameras and filming would have been good exposure to the program. Not many thought the animosity would exist within the team.
It was either Shaq or Barkley who said they saw it unfolding.

So you're saying the guy that replaced the coach who was tabbed a weak recruiter has less talent 5 years in than he inherited. Yeah, you're really not helping his cause there. The one selling point I heard about JJ is that he can recruit.

You know what backfired? Our coaching. Your argument is he can't win with talent and he can't win without talent lmao you're a special kind of stupid.

Anyone that honestly thinks he should get another year should turn in the LSU fan card. He is the Curley Hallman of LSU basketball. This team won't be any better next year.

This is so true. cant win because we don't have talent...couldn't win when he had talent...so basically he cant win

He owns this and I doubt it gets any better considering what he accomplished with inheritance

He went to the NCAA tournament one time in his five years. That was a really good team and they lost out in the 2nd round. The year after that, he has the #1 overall NBA pick on his team, along with some other good players.. Didn't make the NCAA tournament.

This past year, as you know.. He won 1 SEC game. Its time to move on. IMO, there is no excuse for LSU to have as shitty of a basketball program as we have seen..
