I remember one time he was doing line-ups and the name Y'Barbo (pronounced E-Barbo) came up, and he pronounced it - Why-Barbara. I laughed for a good couple minutes.

I've actually known Lyn for a long time - since my days as a student at Louisiana College in the mid 80s. He did the basketball games there then. You may not like his style (I know he's quirky, but what announcer isn't in some way?), but he's as fine a man as you'll meet. And loves LSU

Same here. Tune into the SECN and you have a 1 in 14 chance of seeing something you're interested in. With Cox, you knew it would be about LSU.

Have known Lynn since Northwestern in early 70's. He is like the ole Dizzy Dean, whom I think influenced his style. The upper comment is right, he is a nice person and gentlemen.
