Miles does not need to comment that they were not reading the plays.

I can read our plays with around 85% success without even looking at the TV....It's not rocket science boys.

Its because our offense is more simplistic than a second grade flag football team's.

Dive? Stretch? Toss dive? Play action overthrow?

Bam. That's all of them.

And yet it isn't a simple offense as evidenced by the fact that a QB can't actually learn it in 2 years.

We all know the plays, its the definition of insanity IMO....We just have a terrible coaching staff. Its either, they have given up, or they don't trust the guys they have, its that simple...

But CLM said they were not reading the plays! If its good enough for runningTiger, its good enough for me. Who cares about video evidence?

I think Jennings knows the plays, but the execution of the plays is lacking. I think Jennings can only operate 1/3 of the playbook.

Sometimes I think this, then the next play he turns the wrong way on a hand-off.

what i think is interesting is how LSU was able to rack up 260 yards on Ole Miss and 180 on Alabama on the ground, yet they apparently had a lot of tells against Arkansas. What were we doing against Arkansas that we didn't do against those teams? No offense to Bert, but if he's able to pick up on our "tells" then so is Nick Saban.

I wouldn't call it clear, but convincing. He definitely pointed to what would become the run lane. Maybe lucky guess, except for the fact that it happened more than once.

Execution of said play is lacking sometimes. Looking back at the game, we are multiple in our formations (wish we were more multiple on first & second down), so the playbook is not just 2TE or I-formation, but I don't think Jennings can execute all of the plays.

We weren't as predictable against Ole Miss and Alabama as we were against Arkansas.
Against OM and Bama we made the defense respect the pass with throws to the RBs early on and easy throws for our QB to make.

I don't remember too many short passes to the RBs besides our obvious screen play and the one to Magee where Jennings was scrambling for his life.

In our base Power-I set, Arkansas lived with 8 in the box and attacked on the snap.

Also we blame Jennings(which is deserved), but our offensive line played terrible. The tone was set when Porter snapped it over Jennings head, then the next drive Porter snapped the ball and watched a guy run right in front of him to sack Jennings within 2-3 secs of the snap.

Arkansas did what they needed to win based off of LSUs game plan

I am very serious in saying this. I developed a game plan for my 3rd-4th grade flag football team the day before the final tournament that was more complex than what LSU did against Arky. I understand its 5 players versus 11, but it was still more complicated. AND, we passed much of the time.

We sweeped the tourney and won the championship with 2 scrawny RBs, multiple baby giraffes (big clumbsy kids), and a chubby little QB.

We had a couple of backups in, and we were not getting any push up front, so...

let's continue to run right into the strength of the Arkansas defense for 1.2 yards a play.
