You're damn right.

Besides the fact that I dislike both schools, an Ole Miss/ULL super would be fun in the sense that they both can mash.

Let's just hope ULL doesn't get paired up with the Ole Miss regional.

Yeah. ULL has had a great season, and frankly, I don't want to go play them this postseason. I'm not ashamed to say it.

I agree, ULL will struggle to,get out of their regional. There will be 1 or 2 teams that will be better than any SBC teams they've faced. I want to be paired with them so IF we win our regional, the super comes to the Box after they lose!!!

That would be ideal. We should worry about getting out of whatever regional we are in though. It won't be a cake walk.

Cajuns are swinging the bats. Period. I doubt they have any issues getting out of a regional at the Tigue. I wish we had that look in our eye... You know the 90's aggressive "I'm goin to frick you up look". I actually like watching the Cajuns and their attacking style. Reminds me a lot of our Tigers back in the day when we were allowed to grow facial hair and shite.

We are a little facial hair away from gorilla ball again? I figured we needed a couple more hitters.

We took 2 at ole miss...we can take 2 at ull.
I don't think we are playing well even though we've only lost 1 of the last 5 sec series but I don't get the people saying we have no shot to win at ull. Easier atmosphere than sec road games and close to home. Our sec schedule and their conference schedule has to factor in.

I'm still a little worried about us hosting a regional. We need to do well in our final two series. Last 15 games appears to mean something and you'd prefer not to "have" to win the SEC tourney to convince the selection committee to host the Box.
Not dumping on ULL, they're swinging very well but the wrong team in their regional with good pitching could bounce them.
Still believing in the

I think some of y'all are putting entirely too much stock into that "loss" we have against ULL. We pitched fricking Cody Glenn...during the 8th game of the season. A time when it was thought that he still might be a weekend starter.

I'm with you, I actually like our chances with ULL if that were to happen, even at their place.
This does not "look" like an Omaha Tiger team but that's the great thing about college baseball, things change. A little improvement in our bats, a short hot streak with our bullpen and anything can happen.
Reporting live from the beach in MoBay, it's almost beer thirty!!

4 hits through 5 innings. They only had 6 hits through 6. And we left 5 on base.
Say what you want about the hitting but we at least have a handful of guys we know we can throw out there and win a series with...now after that game three could get ugly

We hit .235 that game with the only extra base hit being Stevenson's triple. He was our only run from a SF. ULL hit .300. Both teams left 5 on.

Serious question - in a Super Regional, why not pitch "backwards?" You have to win 2 out of 3, so why not throw Nola Saturday and Poche Sunday, or Nola Friday and Poche Sunday? It doesn't matter which two you win.
Posted on 5/6/14 at 7:49 am to ell_13
And interestingly enough there was still half a game left for that avg to improve. Did I mention we pitched Cody Glenn?

Or for it to get worse. I know who we pitched. But Nola is 7-1 but should probably be 10-0. It's our hitting that will be our downfall.

I don't disagree with you at all. I guess teams are scared the momentum of losing game one would be too much to overcome. I do think though, specifially to ULL, their Saturday pitcher is their best. Baranik (LSU transfer) has been very good this year. I would still tend to pitch Nola on Friday.
