Don't think USC would have been competition last year if Admin would have fired Miles in Nov due to Helton being a 1st year coach.

This year, may be different if USC keeps losing.

Think we need to pull for both USCw and UT for Herman to work out for us.

Admin screwed up royally by delaying the inevitable.

Born in Ohio, grew up in Simi Valley. Doesn't mean he won't listen to overtures from LSU, which imho is a better job than USC.

Better for talent, but not much else IMO.

LSU wasn't hiring Herman last year, so it doesn't matter.

They might go after him this season, but I have a feeling they'll end up w/ jimbo fisher who will be good for 9-10 a year, which is fine.

I honestly don't think we're getting herman. Doesn't mean we won't, but I don't see him coming to the toughest conference in CFB when other jobs will pay just as much for far less expectations and virtual shoe-ins to the playoffs.

Helton was just hired as head coach there lol theyaren't firing him after one season.

Also who tf thought they'd start season strong with 2 of their first 3 games on the road vs #1 and #7???

Not really.

I think he's more of a Texas guy, but if they don't have openings.. LSU is close to Houston.. and tremendous recruiting..

Also, USC has yet to get back to their prestige and they've been through a ton of coaches. That is a concern.. even for a great coach.

LSU has shown they can withstand a transition when they are still receiving top talent when an Average coach like Miles can come in and maintain. Imagine an above avg coach, especially Herman with such talent.. sky is the limit.

Just an FYI, but it was leaked that USC reached out to Herman's agent after the Stanford game, and there is interest.

Just acting as a messenger.

USC is a better job but LSU is still an amazing opportunity.

I'd just be wary of going to a place that fired someone with the history of Miles. Miles needed to be fired but pressure to win year 1 will be insane
