They want to be relevant in their own state, but no one really gives a shite about them?

UF has offered a 2-1 deal on playing. Not sure why they’re hesitating. FSU and Miami played road games without reciprocation to get their respect before joining major conferences. Why should UCF be any different?

Isn't UCF the biggest university in the country by enrollment?

Not an apples to apples comparison. If they made their football program a priority they'd be a power. Can't say the same for USL or ULL.

I’d say yes if we’re talking about the fact that both UCF and UL Lafayette really get under power 5 team’s skin by simply trying to be relevant as a small brand team.

Not a bad analogy, IMO. Some ULL fans I know are rabid in their dogma that ULL is premier.

No UCF is the best team in Florida. ULL is lucky to be the fourth best team in Louisiana.

UCF will have been to 2 major bowls in consecutive seasons, and beat a team in the upper 3rd of the SEC last season.

La-Lafayette will never participate in a major bowl, and in 68 games vs. SEC opponents they have a single win over a bad A&M team.

ULL is to the New Orleans Bowl what Hawaii is to the Hawaii Bowl.

Yes, if you can remember that time that ULL won 25 games in a row without a loss, were in the Top 10, and playing in a New Year’s 6 bowl for the second consecutive year, I would say there is a comparable situation.

You have to beat a team of some stature to even begin the steps to become relevant. In LA, only LA Tech has even remotely taken any steps towards this.

Unlike ULL, UCF can't call themselves the University of Florida or Florida State because that name is taken. They are stuck being a directional school. If they go with University of Orlando, it makes them seem smaller.

UCF does have a tiny bit of the Little Brother syndrome but it's like they are Dwayne Johnson and UF and FSU are his older brothers, they may be older but little brother can kick their arse.

UCF is the largest in-state 4 year college

They are also the highest ranked football team in their state

Besides that, totally like ULL
