Hargreaves 5'11. T. White 5'11. What's the difference between the two?

I think he's a great player, but not elite.

Tre White was a late bloomer according to the "experts." The UF corner came into college with as much hype as anyone, and had a good freshman year. Tre White is a man on that island though.

100%

And they are the same height, but Hargreaves has better ball skills. He high points the ball and goes after it like a WR and has glue on his hands.

TW was a 5star Rival's CB so I wouldn't say that he wasn't highly respected coming in but maybe he kinda got lost in the pack at DBU? I do remember a couple of recruits dads acting ticked off when they gave him his 5th star even though he was always a QB while their boys were all american cbs their whole careers. That just told me that White was a far superior athlete and yet he still managed to hit the ground running at DBU.

So yeah... he is elite no matter what writers say.

For that matter, so am I.

I'm thinking people don't understand what Elite means.

As a college CB - he is no doubt elite (maybe not in the national media eyes yet, but he has elite skills)

If we are talking about an NFL career, then maybe he is a very good corner, but not elite.

He blankets receivers and tackles well. I don't see why he can't be a top flight NFL CB. If size is the knock then I point to Darrelle Revis who is 5'11 198lbs. Not exactly a giant.

The question is too subjective to answer definitively. He is elite as far as how he has played on our defense in his time here.

jalen collins didn't either, never did anything spectacular here for 4 years and he's considered an elite cb by draft analysts and nfl scouts

TW made more plays in 2 years than he did in three

This makes me wonder if TW is somewhat under rated. I said his COVER skills are elite earlier. He may not be AA or All-SEC, but if you watch the game like I do, he generally is man to man against the other team's best WR with little or no help. He generally locks them down with few exceptions. That in itself is quite a task!

Travesties happen.

Tre looked a lot better vs Cooper than VH3 did. I thought VH3 was the best CB in the SEC going into last season. Now, not so sure Tre isn't.

I'm with LE--he's very good, but a think we are getting a little too loose with the word "elite." If he had caught--and house--a few more of those picks he missed his freshman season, he probably would be getting more media hype. They don't watch all the games, but numbers stand out.

like Collins though, I think they both possess the skills and size(more Collins) to be elite.

Elite is just a strong word. Should be lock down & playmaker, and have the measurables mentioned above.

barring injury or something crazy he'll make all SEC this year and go in the first 2 rounds.

Honestly he should've made at least 2nd team last season
