I just don't understand the need for us to "flirt" to make a point of something pointless?

Why not just get the other schools together and kick Bama and UF out of the SEC.
If nothing else make a bunch of noise about the bias. I'm sure most of the other schools would agree.

there really isn't anything good to flirt with. the pac 12 and big10 aren't happening due to geography.
so you have big 12 and acc. Big 12 has texas and is on the verge of collapse as is.
This leaves the acc which could be intriguing but i doubt it.
Sankey needs to be ousted.

Yes. Not necessarily other conferences as they presently exist, but during the next round of realignment, we should not lock ourselves in to the SEC. We should be looking at other options. If that means burning down the SEC, so be it.
Think of a Mid South/Southwest conference-call it something else, that's just my name for it. LSU, A&M, Arky, Ole Miss, MSU, Oklahoma, Okie State. That's a good start.Pick up Baylor, TCU, Houston, and one or two others, and you'd have a pretty solid conference.
The best part would be UT and Bama on the outside looking in.

Maybe the Sun Belt, Conference USA or the American Athletic Conference.
I personally would like LSU to join the Pac-12 but logistically it would not be easy. We used to play a pac-12 team about every season or two, with good results.

There's no way we are walking away from that kind of money. You feel that LSU isn't getting the respect it deserves? It's not about what any other school, AD, or conference says or does.
It's about LSU and Louisiana.
Respect comes with winning, and we have a lot of wood to chop.
