Auburn's #21 ran it pretty well even though we knew what was coming. Do we have anyone who could run it like Aubie does? (i.e. with the option to hand off or fake before taking off)

Even better - everyone talks about how good a runner that Narcisse is, so would he be a good option? Could add the extra wrinkle of throwing out of it (like Aubie did against Bama).

Y'all don't murder me for this:
JaCoby Stevens.
He played QB in High school. Was a wildcat/running QB.

Guice or gage imo. I think we could see Narcisse come in next year for certain plays.

He played about 2 miles from where I live. He didn't play QB per se, but they did use him to run the WC. They got him the ball.

Talking about the same Narcisse who is coming off two knee injuries? That would be smart.

was my first thought.

For this year.

Get Narcisse's knees 100%, get him coached up, and run it even more effectively next year. I still have my fingers crossed we see him doing it some by TAMU or bowl game.

Let's be honest, by game 10 freshmen shouldn't be football freshmen by that time. Especially an EE like Narcisse.

it's more complex than that. but Aranda and company pretty well shut it down from the second quarter on.

yeah, and I'm sort of ambivalent about that.

Now a days, I don't see the value in a redshirt for a position like QB. A lineman, yes; a position where they need a year to get bigger and stronger AND will likely stay.

For a skill position, there's just not much value IMHO. Not saying he will transfer. But in modern football the odds of him being the QB 4 years from now are slim.

IF the RS year is simply to get him truly healthy, by all means. You just might get that extra year; it's worth the bet. But IF he could play, get him the experience... it has more value than a phantom year.

Just my risk vs reward opinion on QBs and redshirting.
