Both will play in every game. LSU could win games with either one IMO.

Harris' awareness isn't there yet. Did you see his fumble toward the end of the game? He was oblivious that someone could track him down from behind. He needs to make those mistakes against cupcakes, so he'll do better later.

I am very happy with whoever starts. Jennings has earned it so far. But with what Harris showed and if he continues to get a better hold of the offense Jennings better not get hurt because he may not get his job back. But as long as he is healthy and plays well he is it. But he has little room for error or injury

No doubt Harris has already shown he has a VERY nice touch on the ball as well as a great run threat. That end zone fade to Dupre was perfect. Jennings is great with the deep ball, and seems to have a better grasp on things right now. What's more comforting is knowing that whoever starts, an injury might actually result in even better quarterback play, so from a depth standpoint, we're great.

I love this as well, but how many attempts does he not complete because the defense knew it was coming? Spread the attempts between receivers is all I was saying. If every time we go deep it is to Dural .. we will not complete many more ... although .. Master Miles could simply be setting the stage to free up other receivers.

The only thing I was wrong about was saying Dural won't sniff 1,000 yards... Haha, he must have read that or something.

291 yards so far

Jennings should start, but Harris needs snaps against ULM as well.

Unlike most Rantards, I have no way of giving an informed opinion on this, but I think I some some things that explain why the coaches really like him and his potential.

I bet that the coaches are confidant that Brandon Harris will be the starting QB next year.

So let me get this straight.

Coaches are taking the time to groom Jennings this year.....give him the experience starting......teach him the system....start him this year.....

only to know that Harris will be starter next year?

WTF?

Harris may be the better athlete or have a higher upside- however it seems things flow better with Jennings right now. Probably comes with experience. Tempo of the offense better with Jennings- at this time IMHO.

Jennings should be the starter for the remainder of the season barring injury. Sprinkle some Harris in to get him reps but now's the time to get behind the starter.

I understand the competition angle, but I also don't think a QB can be at his best if he's constantly looking over his shoulder, concerned that a mistake will cost him his job. Ride with Jennings.

Jennings is the starter.

Harris will play in every single game.

Jennings is more solid at the moment and understands the offense and the speed of CFB at the moment since he's been here a year.

Harris has crazy upside though

It's the opposite of what Les wants to do so at least half the fan base wants it to happen.

When we finally exit the golden age of LSU football, which we ARE in, my only pleasure will be watching nega tigers eat crow.

#idiots.

Jennings should certainly by the first option at this point. What should not happen, however, given both the lack of depth at QB and Jennings' indisputable inexperience, is for Harris to be relegated to mop up duty, so that he doesn't sniff a significant chance to mature until after the 2015 season. I'm willing to buy into the hype that his upside is bigger than Jennings', and that he should be given a substantial chance to develop this year (consistent with the first priority of winning games). Finally, I admit that my opinion, and submit that the opinions of the other posters here, aren't worth the electrons stimulated in posting compared with the judgments of Cameron, Miles and the rest of the coaching staff.

It's funny to look back on all those who were prepared to jettison Jennings over the summer.
That was absurd and premature.
But let's not get ahead of ourselves on Jennings, either. He, too, is ver much a work in progress, who has faced only one SEC defense. And that was Arkansas.
If Harris continues to develop as expected, this competition is only starting .
And that's a good thing.

Jennings has given no reason to go to Harris for this year - but Harris has given no reason to stop considering him as well.

This is Jennings' team to lose, but if he does, you gotta feel damn good about how we look with Harris too.

He's also usually the primary WR on most of the throws to him. I guess they don't want our QB to be looking at the Primary guy. If he's open..why look at someone else?

That iowa defense last year was leaps and bounds better than arkansas. People act like that wasn't a good test for him.
