I think we'll improve, but watching Cuse stack the box all night (and then run right into it) doesn't show a whole lot of innovation.

But dem shifts where awesome!

Yeah need it in a large way and run toss dive out of the I formation 20 times and get stuffed against elite teams
Well what LSU runs now isn't really working vs meh teams, so there's that.
Instead of jet, Canada should run toss sweep mixed with some inside toss concepts to keep D guessing, something Miles sorely underutilized, imo.

The lack of depth on the O line seems like a hurdle that is impossible to overcome this season.

Obviously the Oline isn't exactly a strong suite, but that doesn't mean the offense has to be completely anemic.

Texas Tech, Baylor, West Virginia, Tulsa, Arizona State, Texas A&M.. These guys all manage to be effective on offense, even against superior teams (Baylor put up 41 on Oklahoma). Certainly these guys don't all have OLines better than LSU?
Pitt from last year? Would you say that their Oline is more talented than ours?
Something is just cursed about LSU's offense.

No chance. Maybe we should just forfeit, because there is nothing that we can do. That is the reason the guy gets paid as much as he does. He needs to figure out a system that hides the deficiencies and scores points. Become gimmicky if needed, but you don't just do the same stupid shite and wish for a new offensive line. Spread the field and widen the gaps in your offensive line. Play out of the shotgun and throw quick passes. This will slow the pass rush and will open better lanes for the running backs. Don't knock it, until you try it. Obviously the shite he is running now is not effective. Just ask Mississippi State, who was destroyed by a freshman QB. The key is faster decision making and a quick release from the quarterback, when your o-line is weak.
