So would LSU host a game with a CAT 4 Storm potentially making landfall around the Houma area say 80 miles away?

They screwed up by not hosting the game at LSU or a neutral site at the scheduled time and date but it would be negligent on their part to not cancel. Hurricanes paths aren't set in stone and 20-30 mile wobble west would have dramatically changed the outlook for Gainesville.

what the frick does that have to do with gainseville. why is everyone else playing, why are florida state and miami playing if the ENTIRE STATE is in such crisis.

AND THEYRE NOT, btw, this wasn't bad at all, it was a rough storm, boo fricking hoo you pussies.

Miami area was spared.

UCF game was rescheduled to another outside of this weekend.
UF & LSU have not agreed to reschedule.

Jacksonville is up the road and most people from the coast in the north/central FL region are fleeing to Gainesville/Ocala areas.

The state will not provide security for any football games in Gainesville OR Miami.

We did this 11 years ago with Rita. Why do you think we played Tennessee on a Monday night?

If said enough times, it becomes believable, correct?

Gainsville was impacted about like a severe thunderstorm.

It's in UF's best interest not to play and it has nothing to do with a hurricane.

Reschedule as in not this weekend.

UCF vs Tulane game is rescheduled for 11/5.

Why didn't they play Sunday? Orlando is just 1 hour north of Gainesville.

Because they had a shared bye date. Are you just waking up from a 4 day coma or something?

The point genius, was why didn't UCF play Sunday if it was so easy to do so and keep their bye week. I'm sure both would prefer to keep the bye.

uftiger HOW have you stood being there for that long? Hope your mess is minor.

And yes yeah for most of the coast being spared. I fear for SC.

St. Augustine is getting storm surge, so I fear for SC, too.

UF pays my salary, so I guess I'll stay another ten years. I try to hire as many Louisiana students in our Graduate Tax Program at the College of Law as I can. I get back to Lafayette when I can.

I just walked the dog and picked up the mail and a couple more small limbs. We have lots of campus police, as well as city and sheriff personnel. I don't buy the lack of resources at all. My yard guy already called me. It's going to cost me $150 tomorrow to clean up a couple acres. I can work, too: nothing else to do without football.

Alleva said LSU offered to do that. Foley said no.

WRONG. This was rescheduled to a mutually open date with Tulane.

I was talking about UCF.

Why is their home game not being played on Sunday if its not problem?

Give me a break if you think both teams prefer to give up their bye week. They had no choice but to play on 11/5. This weekend was not an option.
