serious question. I know FSU has Winston who is beast mode, Clemson has Tahj Boyd, Baylor put up damn near 900 yards of offense last night, etc...BUT

Mett, Landry, OBJ, Collins, and possibly Hill are all top 3 round NFL picks...stats, damn stats, and lies aside, I think there is a strong argument that LSU has the most potent offense in the country.

If we did an air raid offense we could throw for 600 yards every game.

If we focused on getting Hill carries he could have nearly 1000 yards by now

Yes. Baylor and Oregon would destroy defenses this year.

God, I hate that.
Oregon seems pretty fair. Ga seemed to score a few on us.

But this offense is very, very good.

aTm

If we had this offense in 2011 and 2012 LSU would be the defending national champs 2 years in a row.

If our OL would play more consistently, I'd say there's definitely a good argument for LSU in the SEC, but not nationally. Still, the Manziel factor pushes A&M ahead of LSU, and if UGA wasn't decimated with injuries, I'd rank them slightly ahead of LSU as well.

I think our offense struggles if we lose Hill, Landry or Beckham for an extended period of time. Our top four or so playmakers are the best in the country, but we'd struggle if we lost as many playmakers as Georgia.

Yes. We would lose to:

Oregon
Baylor
Georgia
Florida State
Clemson

Just to name a few...

I'm sure people will pull the old "this is the SEC we can stop those offenses."

Yeah. BAMA had a good time trying to stop that spread.

You forgot tamu

I love our defensive coaches, but I don't think we have horses to hang with an elite mobile qb THIS season

We gonna see when Johnny Foosball comes a calling.
We will have to match them TD for TD and then one more. We contained him last year but seeing what QB Prescott did running aginst us, just imagine Prescott on Steriods and you got Johnny F. Defense gotta man up or it will be bad bad bad.

Think you answered the question with your first sentence. I think it speaks volumes that we are going ape over an offense that the rest of the country has been using for quite a while now. More often than not a day late and a dollar short.
