Can't remember it much higher, 2011 was awash with qb negativity...only time it may have been higher was after the VTech game when we destroyed them?

I think everyone is still cautiously optimistic. We beat State by 2 on the road without a warm up game then we destroyed a horrible Auburn team.

This team has potential to be great but we probably truly won't find out until Bama.

Meh - we were pretty high coming out of that Bama game in 2011, even earlier after Tennessee it seemed clear we didn't "need" to pass:

Derek Dooley: [regarding the drive where we ran it 12 or 13 times and scored a TD] "That was like bleeding to death."

Maybe after "stiff dew" in 2013, but that was pretty short lived.
There does seem to be more optimism than there has been in a while.. With good reason IMO.

I think its mostly because we are just happy that LF is everything we hoped he would be. Most of us have known about him since his early high school days and its just great to have a guy pan out.

All of this positivity on the Rant must be hell for the likes of BeeFense and runningTiger.

Uhh, do you remember our undefeated regular season a couple years ago? After Oregon and After that Bama game this place was euphoric

Bama has some serious problems. They may have three losses by the time we meet them. Ole Miss and A&M look to be the tests on our schedule.

ETA: Looking at their schedule, as many as four or five if the wheels come off.

Five? That's crazy talk.

They may lose to UGA before Nov 7, but that's about it.

"Bring Back the Magic" indeed.

(Amazing we didn't get sued by Disney.)

I misread their schedule. I thought they played MSU before us. UGA will be favored, and Bama always struggles with HUNH teams, so A&M will be a battle. And don't go to sleep on UT. So three losses before Nov 7 is very possible, with four not out of the question.

Va Tech 07 was higher, but post UF 07 was arguably even higher than that. We hadn't lost yet, and had just beat the defending champs starring Tebow in an epic game.

A couple points in 2011 were prob higher too. Generally when we feel we have a championship caliber team and get a big win to validate, this place can be pretty positive. Never mind that during said wins we're all over the place and various players and coaches suck/ are beasts depending on the situation lol

If anything it will show what we can do against a great defense.

Ark 07 was the lowest of lows. I felt like someone hit me in the crotch with a frozen sledgehammer.

Can you imagine the difference if MSU made that kick?
