Its not supposed to rain UNTIL 2. It doesnt make any sense that they didn't play one of the two games this morning.

So dumb not to start this thing at 10am. Jared Poche gonna get out there throw 3 innings then we'll be rained out until Saturday evening.

Any idea if Poche starting is flexible?

If it's dark as hell and rain is nearby at 2pm, will Poche still be the guy today?

I'm late to the party on this. Is it too much for them to move games like that? Is it a TV time thing? I doubt it with it just being on WatchESPN right?

I thought I read that regional games couldn't start before noon, but I could definitely be wrong about that.

Yes. Mainieri said yesterday he reserves the right to change who starts depending on what the radar shows as close as an hour before game time.

Right now all hour by hour reports are showing the rain being done by 8pm. We may play this one late tonight.

Last year the Saturday winners bracket game was played at 10pm.

LSU did not want to move the game up because it's a weekday, and an earlier start time would theoretically hurt attendance. I don't have the link to the article, but I know I read that.

90% chance of rain at 2 pm. That's the highest all day.

I read that also. Doesn't really make sense to me as all the tickets have been sold. You may sell a few more SRO with an afternoon game.

However that impact is marginal versus having staff, fans, and games held in limbo.
