This cannot be denied. If enough $$$/Ratings is on the line, they will find a way. Trust me on this...

Do you work in the tv industry? I do...for a CBS station...and the contract says they can't.

It would be possible if there wasnt another tv company in contract with the SEC.

But there is....so, what's your point?

No. A few years back the Bama game started @ 4-something but I don't remember why or how they pulled that off with a 2:30 game. I just don't see how this thing kicks off at any other time other than 2:30.
I do remember a 4 or 5pm kickoff one year as well. I would love to see a 4or430pm kickoff so the STUPID-arse ACC noon thirty game is over by that time. I can't stand missing the first couple minutes of my SEC game cause of that ACC crap they put on!
I guarantee either Fla or Tenn I will miss the first couple of mins since my pussy-arse station will have to show the entire ACC shitgame and after the game coach interviews!

You'd have to understand how the quote function works, which you don't.

If they could move it back to a 4 pm kickoff like they did in 2007, Id approve. I don't know how that fits into all this with the one primetime game and the rest all at 2:30.

So what stops them from pushing back to 4pm like they did in '07?

If all parties in the contract agree to it, they can find a way. Trust me on this.... I stayed in a Holiday Inn Express last night.

That wasn't pushed back, it was a scheduled 4pm game. The TV schedule is determined before the season starts.

Doesn't ESPN have 1 or 2 picks per year when they get to choose 1st over CBS?
