If there's not an official email from the athletic department about it, then its not a white out.

ETA: Or student government or anyone who makes those decisions.

I have worn the same LSU breatheright polo for 3 years for every game. At home, at the stadium, at the bar, anywhere.

This will not be changing.

First, I love Gold Out games. The stadium looks incredible when the majority of fans participate. Death Valley was particularly resplendent against the Gators in 2009.

Second, I enjoy White Outs, though not as much as Gold Outs...unless it rains.

Third, which game featured a white out preceded by a mammoth rain storm that soaked the crowd to the bone and revealed a spawling constellation of sweet, sweet, areolas?

Why do people get so angry about these kinds of promotions? The reality is that it makes a very strong visual impression, in the stadium and (especially) on television, when everybody is wearing the same colors. Have you ever seen an aerial photo of the "Sea of Red" at Nebraska? It's pretty impressive. That's all they're going for. And they're nothing saying you can't wear white/gold/whatever AND yell until you're hoarse. I think that's actually encouraged...

I definitely remember the soaking rainstorm before this game, but I don't believe it was a white out. Maybe I am concocting the whole thing, but I swear I recall a white out game where it poured, turning campus into one large wet T-shirt contest.

There was a whole lot of wet white shirts at Fla 99 not sure if a white out

All purple would be cool to see.
