Just asking..... Looking forward to your responses

Probably a no brainer YES answer IF LSU would have beaten Ala. in BCS title game.

Now that the game is over and we all know how badly LSU was outcoached and outplayed is he still considered the best (or maybe one of the best) in college football after an epic loss?

Moving forward into 2012 assuming.... (arse-u-me) LSU has another remarkable REGULAR season AND they win the BCS title is your answer still yes or no or does it change?

We're all only as good as our last effort in any endeavor. Miles is bordering on the fringes of greatness and total ineptitude both at the same time! Can't say I would have it any other way. Geaux Tigers!

No. Easy answer. No need for obvious details.

He is very good.

Les has finished first once. There is this other guy that has finished first 3 times and once at our school. I know a few people that might think at best he is second.

I agree with this. Easily top 5. It sucks but number 1 is in our division. However hes shown that he can and will beat Saban which now a days is a very rare thing among other coaches. This isnt the bear vs charlie mac its Woody vs Bo.

This response is kind of what I expected. I was impressed with earlier initial responses and it lets me know that I am not alone. Les Miles will prove again in 2012 why he is the best in the business -Saban got a mulligan in 2011 season and he knows it. We shall see what happens in Nov. this year and for the next seveal years. Geaux Tigers!

Top 5. Nick Saban is by far the #1 right now.

Had 1/9/2012 unfolded differently there would be reason for a solid debate between he and Saban. After what happened on the field on the biggest of stages, it's all Saban

Changes daily. One day he's the best, next day he loses and he's ripped apart and said to be a moron.

Honestly there would be no debate...until the next time they played. Miles would've won 3 in a row against Saban and a title game. But that didn't happen so the rivalry is still alive and fresh.

Saban could have taken Miles' players and beaten Bama.
