There has been speculation about Saban leaving for the NFL or Texas or another program for what seems like the last 10 offseasons. I'll believe it and laugh at the Gumps when I see him on someone else's sideline.

Why are we as Tiger fans so quick to squash the "Saban to the _______" rumors? I'm all for perpetuating anything that will hurt Alabama's recruiting-- less squashing rumors, more embellishing them!

Haze, for once I really don't think this is a rumor. I truly think he's gone after the Bama win. Just saying

Look why isn't Bama dominating recruiting this year like years past
Coincidence...I think not

Why are Bama people even starting to say, "well he won't be here forever"

Have you ever been to T-Town? Those inbreads are tough to deal with, and I'm sure he's had his fill. Yes I know he's a God there, but you don't think he will be a god wherever he goes

All I'm saying is that he has a HUGE EGO. He doesn't wanna go out with the "but he couldn't win in the league" stigma. I just think he wants to find the perfect situation that's built to win now and get a Lombardi.

I think he does it, I could be wrong, but I don't think so.

It would be poetic justice if he jumped to NFL again and left 'Bama just like he did LSU. Personally I would like to see him stick around and eat crow when Miles and Co. finally get their shite together on play calling, and recruiting QB's. However, if he bolts to NFL that would be bittersweet as well.

saban will not go pro. His ego was already beat down by NFL players.

FWIW, similar was said about Pete Carroll before he left USC.

And though I am convinced that PC left USC due to the impending NCAA sanctions, it's worth noting that in the years leading up to his departure, many a talking head said he would *never* leave for the NFL again seeing as he'd failed so spectacularly at that level before.

Kind of like...Saban.

In all honesty, I don't think Saban will leave for the NFL.

But I have learned over my lifetime never to say never. Money talks. So do egos...and when Pete Carroll went back to the NFL and promptly earned a super bowl ring despite his earlier failure, I thought...maybe this gives Saban something to think about.

But I still don't think he leaves for the NFL.

Yes I did. Sabanator. There. How's that baw

Look I just really think in this situation, where there's smoke, there's fire. So take it for what it's worth. Nothing maybe but a guys opinion, a guy who follows this crap close, but still a guys opinion Let's let it play out and if I'm wrong, crucify me ok?
