The comparison of Mett and JJ isn't even close.

And recognizing a CB blitz? You can't base a QB's pocket awareness on that. CB blitzes happen maybe a couple of times a game.

Jennings awareness today was bad all over. I'm not ready to write him off yet. He's only a Freshman and needs lots of reps.

From what I saw today I don't think he is a major college QB.

He could develop into one. Definitely didn't live up to the hype. Hope he improves. I'm disappointed in pocket presence and arm strength. I thought both were better.

Hopefully Harris comes in an has the ability that is reported.

Hopefully every QB on the roster will compete and make each other better. Jennings may make a fine QB someday.

Mett completed 58.8% of his passes last year and 64.9% this year. Who has selective memory? Any way you slice it 7/19 for 80+ yards is bad and is reminiscent of Jordan's failure as a QB - freshman or not.

are you serious with this shite?

3 week span last year

Florida 11-25 158yds 44% 1 int
USCe 12-25 148yds 48% 1 int
TAMU 11/29 97yds 37.9% 1 TD

This was his bowl game after playing the whole damn year

Clemson 14-23 120yds 60.9% 1 TD 1 int

Like I said, selective fricking memory. How soon we forget.

JJ's first year was better than Mett's but he didn't have a run game at all. Hill finishes the year with 1400 yards rush and 16 TDs, JJ's RBs and RB/WR managed less than 1600 and only 15 TDs TOTAL.

Mett had Cam to fix his mistakes and Jennings does too. I'm confident he will be tearing it up in spring and fall. The fact that you compare Crowton's "teachings" with Cam's is disgusting at best.

That was in addition to the pocket awareness dumbass. Mett was a sitting duck because he couldn't direct a block pre snap or at least maneuver in the pocket.

No one's giving up on Jennings yet, but he isn't as advertised. Many thought he was ready, he isn't. He's got a lot of polishing to go. He's got the chance to win the job next year and prove himself. I don't think it's a given he'll be the guy next year.

Dang, Jumped a couple of steps there didn't you a-hole.
I agree he wasn't very mobile last year but I am not sure on the blocking schemes. I'm sure you were in the coaches meetings to know the responsibilities.

I dont suppose our coaches were trying teach him to do something besides just take off and run...

I do agree he should have done that a few times today but i suspect that CC is trying get him to learn the passing game. Cant do that taking off with it every time he feels a little heat.

No but you do take off when your receivers are covered and the middle is wide open. Much better than a sack don't you think.

Mett 10-3 Threw for 2,609 yards and 12 TDs on 207-of-352 (58.8%)passing … Threw just seven interceptions all year 50:1 ratio of passes to interceptions rates as the best for a single-season in school history for quarterbacks with at least 300 attempts

Jeff 8-4 as a starter completed 182-of-296 (61%) passes for 2,166 yards with 17 touchdowns and seven interceptions

First year for both QB's. Pretty close in #'s

I think most people attribute JJ being a bad QB to his Jr. and Sr. year more than Soph.

I am confident he will be a very nice QB, with another 8 months of work with Cam he will settle in.

He has to learn to keep more space between him and defenders. He let them get too close before he moved, I think because he underestimates the speed and talent still. Once he learns how and when to use his speed and athleticism, and can put it all together, he'll do well. Cam is the right guy to help him with that. I'm ready for next year!! How much longer is it?
