Is J. Adams the most overhyped defender in the country?

He had one tackle last night, seems to constantly be trying to make a highlight reel instead of making the play, is often chasing his man in coverage, and isn't in on that many tackles (he had one last night).

Oh, and he got benched at one point.

TV guys seem to read press clippings instead of watch film on him, so he's constantly being talked up and it's frustrating.

He was involved in a HELL of a lot more than one tackle.

He is a monster and you should feel like an idiot for posting this.

So you don't watch the games?

His arse got benched last night for being out of position, which happens often.

No. He just needs to play his position and try and stop doing to much. I am sure the dcoorinator will address this.

No he wasn't. Had no defended passes and one tackle, and tried to jump a route that lead to a long TD.

Maybe last night, but generally, no. He is a very sure tackler who clamps the ball carriers knees together. I've been very impressed by his tackling. In fact, there are not many safeties in the NFL who play run defense like Jamal. Alabama's Jackson, too. These two guys are studs.

LOL dude, he's been one of our best defensive players since he was a freshman. I think he can get by with 1 or 2 bad games.

What are you basing that on? All of the turnover he creates? The one or two big hits he finds in a game?

To me Donte was gettig beat far more than anyone last night. It seems he plays a lot more cushion than the other backs.

From what i saw last night in person is he sees a play happening and goes full speed. Everyone else hesitate to diagnose the play. He plays with the type of confidence that just stands out. He diagnosis and goes full speed in a second.
