I honestly dont know why he is starting but look at the film starting from game 1. The guy literally stands there on every play and waits for a lineman to block him. All i can think of is has a sex tape of les or chavis or a sex tape of chavis and les

That is kinda funny. But the coaches know more than the Rant, so if he is starting, he is obviously better than anyone else at the position.

if the best players always start at their respective positions, then why did white beat out collins after this season started?

Anybody who "bangs" on a young adult doing his best is an a-hole. On the other hand, making the observation that Welter really isn't a top-flight SEC l'backer (while giving him credit for playing his arse off) isn't banging. I'd also note that Barrow hasn't exactly set the world on fire either. Alexander is the best LB; would like to see Beckwith and Louis get more snaps, perhaps others as well.

Because White proved he was better than Collins at their position. No one has proved they are better than Welter at MLB, therefore he is the best at the position.

I would like to see new blood in there as well, but didn't Welter lead the team in tackles. I don't think he is as bad as the board makes him out to be.

i think if he let his instincts come out and meet the RB in the hole instead of waiting for him it would make all the difference in the world, our defense always gets there, welter just needs to make the hit...

Johnson or ego would be foolish to leave, i think many are making huge mistakes by leaving early...

It's a collective group effort that's weighing down our defense.... Not one player.

You got that right!

It was before the season started when I accepted what our D would be, But I just couldn't fathom it looking this bad
