Is it just me...

I haven't been able to get on here since the Ole Miss game until now but I read some of the threads and wanted to ask a question. Is it just me or does it seem like as long as Mile's is coach we will be "settling" as a 9-3 team every season? I don't need anyone to bash my opinion, just wanted to see what ya'll thought. I just haven't seen anything in Mile's strategy that makes me feel like we can contend with the big guns, even though we have the talent to beat them.

It's hard for people around here to deal with the truth.

No. You are in the majority, except that most are talking 7-5/8-4.

9-3 will be our good seasons. Expect 4-4 in the SEC or worse most years. We will continue to beat up on OOC, but don't expect the undefeated streak to continue.
During weaker schedule years, 9-3, during tougher schedule years, 7-5 or worse.

Yea I definitely agree with ya'll on 9-3 being our good season. Which is not LSU standards, but unfortunately its what Miles will get us

LSU could easily be 6-5 or 5-6 this season. Last year we were 7-5 (3-5) and had to pull a miracle over Troy. Without that miraculous comeback, LSU was 6-6. The SEC losing season was there anyway.
I would expect those types of season as the norm.

Also, could have lost to Louisiana Tech.

I was including that in the 5-6 record.
But, point taken. I don't really want to think about how bad this season could have been if the ball bounces the other way a few times. We'd be looking at a 1998 or 1999 DiNardo record for LSU.

Don't forget the two gift wrapped pick 6's in the ULL game that were not caught by the defender. One of those drives was a td for LSU. That could have been a 21 point swing and LSU would have been in danger of loosing that game.
GA, I think was a solid win. Trindon was the difference, not the penatly.
MSU might as well have been a loss. Is there anyone on the planet that would not have given Dixon 4 tries from the 1? Talk about a bone headed coaching mistake.
I agree w/ your points.

Boise state only beat La Tech buy 10 and they had all of their players. We had 4 starters out on offense.

Tech has lost 9 starters this season and yes that was prior to our game w/ them.
