Is it a certainty that the game will be televised nationally?

So who is going to get bumped to make that happen?

It really is beyond weird that they still don't know what channel on which it will be televised. They cleared moving it to 2:30 with CBS. I assume they must be trying to move Purdue-Minnesota off of ESPN.

If it wasn't going to be broadcast, then LSU AD could set whatever kickoff time they wanted. Damn sure wouldn't be 2:30.

I have Comcast in Nashville, and the online guide has "Teams to be announced" for the ABC 2:30 p.m. game. ESPN, ESPN2, and SEC Network specify teams for 2:30 pm games. ABC owns the ESPN family of networks - could be on ABC.

No chance that ESPN passes on the opportunity to showcase Fournette along with a unique natural disaster situation like this. They will do whatever they have to do to get this game in as many households as possible.

That is because the 2:30 game is regionally broadcast, so you get different games depending on where you live.

I'm pretty sure this is impossible considering that CBS apparently gave the go-ahead to move to 2:30. CBS would NEVER approve moving a game to an over-the-air station like ABC, much less at the same time as the CBS broadcast.

That being said, I completely agree with you!

SEC has contract with CBS and ESPN networks excluding ABC. Even though ABC is part of the ESPN family the only way an SEC team gets a ABC game is to be a visitor in a non conference or neutral site game or a bowl game.
