Kevin Faulk

Along with his RB skills, he was the best punt returner I have ever seen at LSU. He seemed to position himself really deep, then while running in under the ball, catch it without missing a beat. Once he had the ball, he would often slow down using his vision, then turn on the jets, amazing !

Mathieu
LF
Reed

for me.

TM was so crazy because I'd never seen a defensive player so good that it felt like we were on offense when he was out there.

LF7 is the most exciting we have ever had end of story. I love KF3 but LF7 is in another planet. He is a once in a generation type player much like Casanova. His #7 should be retired when he leaves. Dude just shattered the single game rushing record with ease. He could have had 320 in that game last night with 7-8 more touches.

Tough call but I go w/ TM7.

As defense and special teams guy, TM7 benefits from the heightened uncertainty, esp. on defense. Better stayed, on D there are more "that just happened" plays b/c you can't see them coming. I'm thinking now of a play in 2011 vs Oregon or WVU (both maybe) with the forced fumble> recovery> TD.

LF generates these moments too, but I feel like I know half of what's coming. Just not how many tackles he breaks, whether someone dies, and if it comes via spin move, stiff arm, piledriver and/or front missle-kick. So TM7 for "exciting" but LF for anything in the way of "impressive". His speed, pickup, power, agility... I have average football IQ but I can tell what a "once in a generation player" looks like.

And somewhere below these two I like K Faulk, Patrick Peterson, and either of the Booty brothers.

Since 2000:

1. Leonard Fournette
2. Tyrann Mathieu
3. Josh Reed
3. Patrick Peterson
4. Jamarcus Russell

Guys like Odell Beckham, Jr. and Dwayne Bowe don't even make the list (hell, I'd put Early Doucet above both of them at LSU).

Yes, he was amazing. I was in the stands at Vandy sweating my arse off when he broke his ankle and played his last game.
