AP had better vision. LF is more physical. Their speed seems similar.

Comparing stats alone is stupid.

Again, WTF.

LF is incredibly physical, but AP is hall of fame physical. Its like his best attribute

Dude plows over All-Pro LBs and Safeties in the league. He was an absolute hoss in college. He ran over tons of people. He's got freakishly strong core and lower body strength. Have you heard his box jump stories?

I think Fournette is the best college back since Peterson but to say he's "extremely superior" is pure lunacy.

Hey. I'm agreeing that OP is silly.

And yes. AP is very physical.

I think what sets AP apart is that he's that physical while also just about possessing scat back mobility and vision.

I think LF is more plainly physical but, I'm not saying there's some large gulf there. It's definitely close.

That's why I think comparing stats alone is silly. AP is not only big, but for a long time, you never really got a solid shot at him. I think that contributes to his greatness

your disbelief is noted. LF is a better back than AP when coming out of college. I'd love for anyone to argue differently.

Lots of people are. You just thing stats are everything.

They aren't.

Not really. LF is physically superior to AP as well. You just thinking i'm using stats alone as a comeback because in reality you have nothing to argue with me over it besides AP's NFL career already in the books.

I think Peterson is more athletic then Fournette. He's more shifty. Fournette is still very stiff sometimes. He's just a big arse dude that can run away from DB's which is what makes him special, but he doesn't seem to have as much agility as Peterson. I'd be willing to be he doesn't have the straight line speed that Peterson did either, but he weighs more so that's to be expected.

Honestly, looking at a Peterson highlight film, it's not even close. Peterson is just a different animal.

His NFL highlight film looks like a high school film

I've just spent several minutes, Peterson may be a bit shiftier but i wasn't too impressed (with a mindset of comparing to what Fournette's done). AP did use a wicked spin move more often though.

I'd def pump the breaks on LF being in any way superior to a everyone's Top 10 all time list, and a damn good argument as a top 3 guy all time. Now if we are going to compare them during the same times of their life, for sure there are plenty of similarities and damn near mirrors of each other. As far as NFL careers go, it all depends on if LF is the same kind of workout warrior that All Day is. I really think that's where he separates himself from all these guys having 4 year careers, not only is the dude a physical phenom, he puts in more conditioning/strength training than any one in the league. So IMO if LF has that sort of drive and work ethic, the sky's the limit.

Man, really? Some of what Peterson does reminds me of Barry Sanders with his shiftiness. That kind of jump cut with a wide base and low center of gravity. Then the way he accelerates out of that is just amazing. Plus that stiff arm is incredible as well. I don't think Fournette is capable of matching up with how versatile of a back Peterson was in his prime. Peterson was honestly kind of like Guice and Fournette combined.

I think Fournette is right there and has arguably a greater collegiate career thus far in a much tougher conference with much less QB support on his team.

Back when Big 12 teams could have somewhat respectable defenses and weren't giving up 800 passing yards in one game. I member
