I tend to agree but LSU usually lets the foot off the gas after big wins. I think it is unlikely we win out if we were to beat Bama. Just my opinion. (obviously)

I he will simply have to win all games but 1. He could lose to bama and beat everyone else, or beat bama and lose to a Florida, and still get the nod barring a monstrous loss v bama.

We can't loose footing in the recruiting time line by waiting out the season to make decision. Hes pounding the recruiting trail which will have nearly as much position in keeping him as post season w-l. My prediction is if bama and Arkansas falls he is our man.

The minimum criteria for Coach O to be retained is if he has LSU looking good and competitive in all remaining games, with no more than 1 loss. A close loss while looking good, even if not against Bama, might suffice.

God Bless Coach O!!!! He has made watching LSU football fun again.

It was painful watching a Les coached game knowing going into each game it would be boring, frustrating to watch and likely to come down to a field goal.

He is in his dream job, so we never have to worry about him bolting for a more attractive job.

Dude is a recruiting machine, and to quote Charles Barkley "college sports is more about Jims and Joes than Xs and Os".....

And love the delegation to his position coaches, this guy has learned from his mistakes and gotten better. Kind of like making a half time adjustment in his own life. Which how great has it been to see in game adjustments...

Give this guy 2-3 Mill a year for 2 years, give Aranda what he wants, and lets see what they can do.

Beat Gumps convincingly not by a narrow margin.

frick that. If he beats the Gumps he sure as hell better be in.
What if we beat the Gumps and then lose to Arkansas, Florida and Texas A&M?

Better calm down and see what happens for the duration of the Season.

It's kind of like being damned if you do and damned if you don't. On one hand Alabama cannot be one of the losses if he only loses one of the remaining games I think it depends on how he loses that game and how close the score and how the team performs in the loss. People keep saying how much he loves LSU but so did Jerry Stovall and look at his results.

I've always said that when a guy is dating the lady that becomes his wife he always puts on his Sunday best. That is what I am concerned with coach O, he will pull out all the stops, take chances he normally would not take, those chances work out in his favor and get the job, then slide back into that conservative mode. It's hard to believe they're going to fire $5 million year coach and replacing him with his defeensive line coach, who didn't have a very impressive record as a head coach when he was at Ole Miss .

There is no guarantee with any of the candidates will do as good or any better than Miles did or how coach O does the rest of the season. I think we just have to sit back enjoy this run as long as it lasts and hope that he will have the success in beating Bama and hope that he can win out. If O ends up with the position, hires a really good OC, keeps Aranda and hire a very good DL coach and ST coach.
