Now that Football season is over (not counting NSD), my question would be does Jones makes it through the season or is a firing imminent? Is 4 SEC wins too high of an expectation? Just seems the program is experiencing a low point reminiscent of the post Lester Earl fiasco.

Fwiw the last two years I watched almost every game. This year I don't even look at the schedule. All in on baseball.

Was a Big Basketball fan in the past, not even worth mentioning now. Definitely should have been done with Jones last year. Just another wasted year by our fine AD.

Shooting 57% and hitting 17 three's is not too shabby. They left points at the Free Throw.

Lmao. You are making excuses for that shite show? Left points at line? Really? Lol. How about playing defense like 210 points given up in last two games against mediocre to less than average teams.

Last season did a number on me.

We're really spoiled as fans, so the fact we're very good in so many other sports helps me cope with LSU basketball. Still I'm not sure I've ever been this apathetic. I was even more attentive during the TJ era

Honestly if jones could have at least signed Mitchell Robinson and the Madison Prep kid, I could possibly entertain him coming back for one more season. Now, I don't see the point

I want to say this is Jones' last year, but I can never be 100% sure with Alleva. When the administration clearly doesn't care about basketball, it makes it hard for the fanbase to care. Sad state of affairs.

Problem with firing jones this year is we are entrusting alleva with another high profile hire.

I would not be surprised if Alleva wanted to give him another year, but we are going to be so bad that his hand will be forced.

He won't be fired mid season. It will be at the end of the year. If he's back next year Alleva has to go. This is pathetic

Why do people think he won't be fired? The only reason Miles wasn't fired last year was money but Jones' contract is nothing compared to his.
