Unproven #1 Team" is a bit if a dubious insult. This team, like every #1 team in recent memory, is pretty damned solid. And it's hard to call a program with Bama's 3-year track record and returning players "unproven".

bullshite.

The only other #1 team with a similar cupcake schedule was Bama last fricking year.

They're a great team playing schedules that are ridiculously easier than other SEC contenders. Fact/

TCU, Auburn, Georgia, and Florida. Two quite different resume's.

Those 4 teams are a combined 20-14. Take out Auburn and they are 12-13. Not exactly murderer's row.

There's more than one SEC contender?

And let's not forget that Alabama shutout a team that LSU lost to.

Unproven??

They look to be as good as ever, to me.

Until someone beats them, it's all talk.

Injuries decimated two of those teams that were both projected as top-10 going into this season.

In comparison to who Bama has played thusfar, just about anybody's schedule looks tough.

Injuries also decimated Ole Miss, but they still beat LSU. Alabama on the other hand shut out a full strength Ole Miss side.

Why is it you want to recognize the injuries of certain teams yet ignore the ones of another?

I wish I shared some optimism of some of you but in reality we would have to make some major changes to beat them. the biggest change is to play focused, balls to the wall, for 60 minutes or we will be behind the 8 ball before a cat can lick his arse!

It's called the transitive function for a reason.

Using that inane logic, since Bama beat Ole Miss 25-0, and LSU lost to Ole Miss by 3, the projected finish should be Bama by 28...no?

Good luck with that...

You gumps seem to be hanging ya's hat on the comparison of Ole Miss games.

That's cool, only shows ya's ignorance.

Go add up the records of the teams BAMA has played.

The last four alone are 9-26.

Guess that means Alabama is going to beat LSU because they lost to Ole Miss.

Because that's how football works

Don't overload their smallish brain power.

Most are still trying to figure out why Mom answers to Aunt, and vice versa.

Florida in 97 and OSU in 2008 were less proven.

Alabama has 2 good wins (Ole Miss & ATM), which is 1 more than LSU. Keep in mind I only call Ole Miss a good team because they beat LSU

*edit, forgot about AU.

It's called reading comprehension and you lack it.

No where in that post did I say Alabama would beat LSU or that the results of those two games would play in any sort of factor. I specifically used the Ole Miss game to highlight your shortsightedness where you use injuries as an excuse for why teams on your schedule have bad records yet ignore the fact a team decimated by injuries has beaten LSU.

You can't have one then ignore the other.
