From what I can tell, doesn't look too good for the home team.

What it tells me is they know there will be a 1 year post season ban at minimum.

Not trying to troll, but an honest thought. I thought people were happy with Woodward making a quick, solid hire to keep the roster/recruiting class together?

No it doesn't. What it tells you is that players recruited to LSU by the former coaching staff are exploring their options now that the coaching staff is no longer at the school.
If you follow college basketball and this LSU team, NOTHING about the mass entry into the transfer portal is unexpected. Missouri fired their HC. They have 6 players in the portal. South Carolina fired their HC. They have 5 in the portal.

What it tells me, if the Athletic Director didn't have enough respect to let them keep their coach for another week, to play the game they had earned, why should they trust him in the future?

My guess is that LSU/NCAA deal is that any player who accepted money gets a pass if he transfers out. Part of the deal is a less severe penalty to LSU. The coach and players involved are all gone , so don’t penalize the new coach and players.
