Is anyone else expecting a better than average atmosphere Saturday?

Even with all the negativity and "the atmosphere is going to be lackluster" sentiments on this board because of various reasons/excuses (rain, team has nothing to play for, day game, etc.), I honestly expect LSU pride to shine this Saturday.

Maybe I'm just too optimistic but I'm excited about this game. The Auburn game is in the rain, and for the first half it was a great atmosphere. And we even thought Auburn sucked back then. Yeah this is a day game but as I said, I really think those with real LSU pride to show up, support the team, and provide a great atmosphere to push us past the Ags.

I'm expecting a loud, balls to the wall, profanity or not, raucous Tiger Stadium. Screw whatever anyone says about not having anything to play for, for me it's about not letting A&M get the better of us in OUR house and it's about NOT letting JFF get a win in his only trip to Death Valley.

He may have won in Bryant-Denny, but we WON'T win in Death Valley on Saturday. I'm losing my voice by halftime and after I stand on the bleachers and stomp and jump around to make noise. If not for the game, for the recruits, so we can show them what Death Valley is supposed to be and sound like.

let's frick up A&M!

I think we get boat raced and they out number our fans 3 to 1 by the start of the third.

I hope I'm dead wrong, fwiw.

It's the home game everyone has been looking forward to since this years schedule was released. Rain or shine, this games means a ton for this program and its future. Recruits will be there and will hopefully have a jaw dropping experience. Plus, all the aggies think they are going to come in here and steam roll us. Let's prove them wrong and remind everyone why Tiger Stadium is the best atmosphere in college football!

Dream on! It will be cold and possibly rainy And we've lost some games. It will be nowhere near full or electric at the start and it will be all down hill from there.

You should have been a ULL fan with that piss poor attitude. I bet when we start competing for championships again you'll claim you never left the bandwagon

People will be bitching that it's a 2:30 kick, it'll be a bit damp and cool.

I was never on or off the 'bandwagon'. This has nothing to do with my feelings toward the team and its success, its has to do with my negative feelings towards our fans. I'm saying they are the pitiful ones lately. Making up any excuse to leave early or not go altogether regardless of who we play. I'm an LSU fan, alum, Baton Rouge native and I have been, am and always will be a Tiger. I'm just not always a fan of our fans.

No, not really. It's been a long time since I've seen the LSU fan base so apatheic.

I'm sure some will go just to say they saw the Heisman Trophy winner play. The weather will definitely keep alot of peple away. Hopefully there will at least be 70k there midway through the 3rd. Problem for alot of fans is that the game basically means nothing in the grand scheme of theings. Back in the day when LSU was a mid level team, people would go to the game simply for the experience. Winning has definitely changed the mentalitiy of Tiger Stadium.
