RUSTON, La. - The Lady Techsters put up eight runs on the number four team in the nation, but unfortunately that was not enough as Louisiana Tech (15-6) fell to LSU (24-3), 30-8 on Tuesday night at the Lady Techster Softball Complex in front of 1,927 fans.

Head Coach Mark Montgomery said he "liked the energy" of his team and was "satisfied with the effort" of his pitching staff. When pressed, he denied "deflecting" criticism by paying lip-service to these concepts.
