His wife, Roslyn, was a fantastic soccer player at LSU.

He played at Tulane, so I think his LA connections will be phenomenal for recruiting. Can't wait for the season to see how improved this defense will be

Are there other connections besides him playing football at Tulane and his wife playing soccer at LSU?

Do you need more connections? You don’t think he has connections with high schools around New Orleans? His wife is from Mandeville, I’m sure they have connections

He’ll draw more value in Houston and the SoTX area than La.

It was just a question. But yeah. Does he have actual experience recruiting Louisiana? I don’t think going to college at Tulane and marrying a girl from mandeville necessarily means he has an in with Louisiana high school football coaches

He was also the DC for LA Tech so I would say he probably has built some connections.

The talent in North Louisiana seems to have dropped off in recent years, but the last good crop seems to have really leaned towards Bama. Having a former DC from LA Tech should help up there if needed- on paper at least.

from a friend who worked with him a few years back.....he's a really good recruiter and is familiar with a ton of the North LA coaches. This might be the best hire of the group

I agree with this, was also one of the reasons I wanted them to get Joyner. That duo would do major damage recruiting Houston and the Dallas area.

Yes.

He also coached at Louisiana Tech for like 5 years and recruited North Louisiana a whole lot during that tenure.

ETA:

I can't tell if you were being sarcastic or not so apologies if you were

Well the good news is he was the DC at LA Tech so that probably means he has connections in LA with the High School coaches.

So what you're asking is, "besides playing, coaching and recruiting in Louisiana, and also marrying a girl from here, does he have any experience in the state?"

No. None. Good thing we have Google Maps.
