Les Miles last four years at LSU (2007-2010)
(when he had mostly his OWN recruits)
Record 40-13. 1 NC, 1 SECC, 3-1 bowl record.
Seasons with less than 3 losses - 2
Last second losses: Ole Miss, Penn State - '09
(UK and Arky - OT '07)
Bad Routs: Ole Miss '08, Florida '08

Nick Saban's last four years at LSU (2001-2004)_
(when he still had some of Dinardos recruits)
Record 40-13. 1 NC, 1 SECC, 2-2 bowl record
Seasons with less than 3 losses - 1
Last second losses: Arkansas '02,Iowa '04
Bad Routs: Florida in '01, Va. Tech, Alabama, Auburn, and Texas '02, Georgia '04

Saban also had a last second loss in '00 against UAB and bad rout loss to Florida in '00.

Just some interesting facts.

How many losses to unranked teams does each coach have?

Whats the average rank of the teams that each coach has lost to?

Honestly don't know and I'm at work so I can't do the research with boss around.

Why are you counting 2007 as a year of mostly Les recruits? That team was mostly Saban guys.

Why the Saban comparison?
He's gone.
Forever.
It was his choice.
He never intended to be here 13 years.
Get over him.

May be me, but I find nothing interesting about this, in fact I think it has been brought up before.

I think its because there are some knuckleheads that think the Midget is gods gift to coaching.

Umm, no it wasn't. The guys who were Seniors on that team were brought there by Saban but most of them did not play at all when Saban was the coach.

stop the madness, Saban and Les are both good coaches for very different reasons just accept it and try to be happy.

Love that overall record comparison, Les getting an elite team to start with and Saban getting a 4 win team

Saban may be a better Coach, and that its self is argumentative, but CLM is a better person. I think we have managed to upgrade from Saban. Just as good of record, coaches, players and their families love him and he is COMMITTED to LSU. End of discussion.

No, Saban is probably one if not the best in college football, Miles is a decent coach who recruits real well and surrounds himself with good assistants most of the time.
