It seems like clockwork now. Gives up 1-2 runs in the first, cruises 2-5..it all gets risky in the 6th. You'd think CPM would see it by now and make adjustments accordingly. Of course, the RPs failed to deliver tonight as well. End rant

Except for when he has gone 7 and 8 innings pitching great ball.

Apparently you cant complain about timeliness of the removal of pitchers without your thread disappearing. wow!

This.

Poche's stuff dips noticeably around 90 pitches.

This hindsight commentary after a loss is like clockwork.

just don't know if you can match him against a true ace in a regional/super regional right now

The way USC was getting to LSU's bullpen, it probably wouldn't have mattered.

What do you think his pitch count should be? Unfortunately, I'm thinking it's like 80

Well, he is probably gonna pitch the saturday, or game 2 of a regional, so get used to it.

A descriptive subject that invites rational discussion goes a long way :inb4whack:

You mean the way our bullpen walked in 3 runs?

He came out into the 6th his stuff wasn't as good as it was in the previous 5 and it was obvious from watching him pitch. Our coach just does not see fatigue or when a tank is empty its sad. He also doesn't see when a guy just doesn't have it to start the night ala godfrey that shite was awful to watch.

He starts losing his control, which is what makes him so good, around 85-95 pitches. He starts burying his breaking ball and running his fastball 3-4 inches off the plate.

That seems to be his limit, but what do I know? I'm just a guy watching the game on TV. Obviously Mainieri and Dunn think his limit is higher.

Agree that his limit is around 90 pitch count - you'd think Paul might notice that, too, and take him out before 4 runs score.... !

Thank you for expanding on my thoughts. I'm not bashing CPM, but if he doesn't make better substitution decisions, we won't be updating the intimidator

or one you like right, yoga pants? innings should not be predetermined but it is obvious to all but PM when he no longer has it.

My apologies ulmtiger. I didn't see your thread. I expect this one to be whacked momentarily
