Prolly had the right idea. Well, on to Spring Football, WBB, softball and baseball. Can’t have everything.

Tell that to the seniors who played with everything they have in what was likely their final career basketball game.

Oh yeah Ole Miss came up smelling like roses roses. They couldn't extend their season by 2 days. GTFO with his nonsense.

Look I'm not trying to shite on anyone and love any player that suits up for the purple and gold but those guys playing their last game of their career got outhustled all night. If its not important enough to them to go balls to the wall then why should we push back portal recruiting to play in the consolation prize tournament?

LSU will never do the opt out thing. If they didn’t do it in 2021 for the Texas Bowl they’ll never do it. They had all the justification in the world to do it then but went out and played the game.

Don’t care about outcomes. Opting out is pussy shite

Well one of them said the other team wanted it more so kinda puts in doubt that they played with everything they have.

Except for that time they declined an NIT bid in 2016. But otherwise, you’re right.

LSU didn’t not “opt out” of the Texas Bowl because of some deep sense of pride. Hell, Nussmier could have been the starting QB by literally just showing up…and he didn’t. They played because they are a member of the SEC…which has a contractual multi-million dollar tie-with the Texas Bowl. In other words, the SEC “If you want your share of the bowl money you’re going to honor your obligation to play.”

The schools get about $6k per game for playing in the NIT. I don’t think anyone at OU was going to create an uproar over the loss of a potential $30k
