Really nothing we didnt already know. I really dont think the whole theme and mood of the film was to criticize NCAA coaches as much as the NCAA itself. Last part of the film featured Dawkins talking about how he looked at coaches who paid players as "good people" and ones who did not as "not good people."

To me the documentary perspective was to show how incompetent the FBI was in this investigation.
If I had to bet Dawkins and/or his lawyer had something to do with the production of the documentary to help him look better in his appeals. With that said Dawkins was really dumb but he was also really young. When I was in my early 20’s and someone going to keep giving me cash I would have done the same thing.

Yeah Dawkins should be a fine judge of moral character.

Nah, it was more about the NCAA and how corrupt college basketball has become. Those who follow the sport aren't that surprised but the casual fan probably doesn't realize all this is going on.
This case just scratched the surface. This isn't an isolated incident. All hell may break loose if they ever investigate AAU basketball.

I am Still shocked that the FBI spent time and resources doing this.

the most important part of that recording is that Smart/LSU has already been investigated. Nothing found. Done deal.
if there is something else to offer, then LSU will have no choice but to deal with it. If not, let the 3-faced, useless nc double a$$hole do whatever it is that they do...

Even when your a shady guy, it doesnt take away your ability to know good or bad people. Actually, he is probably better at spotting a crooked guy.

You mean like honor amongst thieves and all that. I’m not downing WW but let’s not give Dawkins undue respect. He’s just a common sleaze bag.

Lol at the ULL fan melting in the comments

I’m going to be honest here: that was worse than I expected. He literally says “we can compensate him better than the rookie minimum.” Only one way the ncaa will interpret that.
I love Wade and hope we can ride this out and keep him forever but he might be fricked with this.

The same way it was interpreted when we knew the verified transcript last year, smart was withheld from games, and an investigation occured before he was allowed to play again?
UNC showed us that no one is fricked if you fight the NCAA anyways

It was a joke about a player that LSU had no shot at getting.

Was that the comment about blossumgame from Clemson who was already in the G league?

I didn't catch the name. But, it sounded like they were talking about a player that was going pro.

This was not a formal investigation. Can we please stop spreading bad information

Because they were investigating a unrelated crime that led them to this rabbit hole. Are they not supposed to investigate additional crimes? What happens if they ignored this and they missed a horrendous crime unrelated to this but something they would have caught if they would have done their due diligence? Can't have it both ways. Now if they would have just started investigating only this, I would agree with you.

You just made an argument for a surveillance state.
They phone tapped this guy for a while. They had to have known at some point they were just investigating college basketball recruiting.

Whatever your opinion may be is just fine. But why wouldn’t you want to draw your opinion off of the facts? That’s all I’m saying.
Straight from the ncaas mouth last Summer:
we held off investigation because the government wanted us to wait until after the trial.
If you think Will Wade & smart were cleared of everything in a few days, so be it. There’s more information out there though that you are ignoring.
