Chief has done a great job with the D over the second half of the season. 52 and 33 made a huge difference.

Indeed. The DL improvement on run defense has been nothing short of remarkable. I was extremely worried after MSU and Aub about the interior of our DL but the adjustments made have made a night and day difference

#9 last year too in a year most say was a down year.

Our offense is a big contributor to our defensive stats. Ball control gives the defense a rest and keeps the game low scoring. When LSU has a six play 15 yard drive it eats more time than a 70 yard TD drive for these HUNH teams. That's why stats are so meaningless.

Last year's defense was good; it just wasn't championship level. Regardless of stats, against top teams our defense folded. It is what kept us from contending. This year it's obviously the passing game. In the back half of the season we've played championship defense.

I have been critical of The Chief. He has definitely turned it around since Auburn and really since last year. Pretty awesome job.

His two minute defense blows fricking balls still. Make the changes so Saban doesn't butt frick us again in Tiger Stadium in 2016 please.

"The improvement on D since Auburn has been nothing short of amazing."

No doubt about it. The best coaching job, by far, that we have seen from this staff this year or perhaps even in recent years. from a unit that could not even begin to defend simple running plays against State and Auburn to a D that has clamped down on KY, Ole Miss, Bama, and Arky.

Your comment is definitely misguided.

Nope. I have noticed that most of the positigers (love Les at all costs) are the first ones to pile on chavis if the defense (something most agree Miles has no part of) gives up a late score to allow the opponent to win. Doesn't matter if the defense played lights out and the offense was its usual self...the loss is attributed to the defense. Classic deflection by the positigers on what the true problem has been with this team throughout his career at LSU.

I was as critical of Chief as anyone. His ability to correct the D, especially with as poorly as they were playing, is nothing short of amazing. He is an incredible coach, even considering his end of half issues, and we are lucky to have him.

What's our average without the cupcakes?

Cmon. That they are improved is obvious even if you simply look at performance vs non-cupcakes over the course of the season.

Stop being a tard.
