I tried telling some LSU fans last year how good Jacoby Jones was, and they gave me "he will have to earn his worth" and "he plays for a 2A school so his numbers are inflated"

He is the BEST high school baseball player I have ever seen play here in Mississippi. I saw the kid steal home plate in the State Championship series. He is TONS better than Mississippi native Billy Hamilton who was a first round pick by the Reds in 2009.

You guys have a certified SEC superstar for 3 years. Being a Mississippi State fan, Im VERY Envious.

Yea ya boy is definitely solid... I look forward to watching him get even better. The kid will definitely be watched heavily by the scouts.

Why? Having him in the 9 spot is virtually guaranteeing we get back to the top of the order

Ok there's kinda a huge difference between Albert and Jacoby... Albert is a HR threat, Jacoby not so much. Where would you have him hit then?

Is he the one that did the Forest Gump on the video board last night? I forgot that fast.

I always stay out of these arguments. But he's already got 3 this year in 9 games.

Mainieri has said he wants to keep him in the 9 hole to let him adjust to the game...whatever that means. He'll be in the middle of the order before long.

I believe in time he will be moved up in the lineup in order to give him more at bats each game. The idea he should stay in the nine hole to assure getting back to the top of the lineup, while reasonable on some level, isn't as legit as getting this guy to the plate as much as possible.
