OK. Well you are entitled to your opinion. I have about 5k more posts than you, so if you care to go through all of them, you will see that I have never made a prediction like this before. I only put what I heard here because some people want to hear information. If my information turns out to be incorrect I will Take my lump for it, but I feel pretty confident the only 2 predictions I have made is jj will be charged and he will sit for at least 2 games. If that doesn't happen I will be publicly apologize to everyone on here.

I think we all appreciate the info Nico. Some on here are just questioning it. Don't take it personal. I personally believe you when you say that you were given this by Le....i mean by a players girlfriend and that when you were told this it was stated as fact by said girlfriend. It very well may be true, or it may be a girlfriend who is touting second hand info as fact because she wants it to be fact. Chicks have been known to exaggerate things in the past. We will have to wait and see what happens. I think if info about who is taking first team snaps today leaks from practice, it could be very telling.

Look bro. You're on a fricking LSU message board. The reason people come here is to gossip and talk about their team. And you having over 6k posts lets me know you spend substantial time on here. I posted what I heard, knowing little bitches like you would call me out for trying to stir the pot. If you don't believe me I can honestly get frick.

Ok, so let's say that JJ is indeed suspended for 2 games. Lee throws for 2 td's and 200 yards against Oregon, and we beat them handily. He then doubles the TD's against NW St, and we blow them out 48-0.

What do we do for game 3 with Jefferson "back"?

IF Lee is then maybe this rumor about jj already being suspended might have some legs. Not for sure...but maybe.

Wow......what do you base this on? You been to all the practices? What about last year when Lee saved LSU on several games? What about long drives, then Miles puts in JJ to let him run it in for a TD????????

Lee is a senior. He's not a freshman thrown into the SEC........

Nice, well thought out post. I understand your skepticism, and I may be wrong in the end, but I hate that people can't question a source without being a total dick.

I really don't see how JJ is charged now. surely their stories will all match up in the most perfect way, now. there will be no catching them in a lie.

I really think the "victims" will be convinced to drop the charges if given enough time.

I have read hundreds of police reports. There are so many mistakes in initial reports and often downright lies that it is very difficult to believe anything you read. If there are several statements from witnesses that are consistent, however, this could be the end of the Jeffersonian era at LSU. Politically, I've always been Jeffersonian; as an LSU fan, not so much.

Yep...good call.

Yes...the team. Not potential legal issues about which we have virtually no solid evidence yet.

Since 2006 I have about 7,000 posts...I'm not exactly SFP.

Yes...like a gossiping old lady. Nice job, Sally.

It's not about believing you...it's about not giving one ounce of shite about your info at this point. It's useless in every regard until it becomes confirmed...and at that point you get to poke your chest out and claim that "you brought it here first." Well congratu-fricking-lations, champ! And if it turns out your source was wrong? frick it...you ran with it and damn the consequences, right, bro?

quote:I've talked about it in another thread, but I talked to the girlfriend of a starter on the team. She says he got a call at 11pm saying if the media approaches him to not comment. Also that JJ would be booked for 2nd degree battery but would plea down to simple, most likely. He is already suspended from 2 games, but Miles said it could be more. He was witnessed by several people stepping on the guys head. The fact that the guy is a marine has not even been an issue outside of a media report. Take it fwiw, I have no reason or history of being an attention whore, but this is basically from the team. He also said that some of the players have fessed up to seeing JJ do that

We may not ever even heard about 2nd degree battery. I bet they work that out today.

I happen to know Nathan Fisher very well, hell I paid him $8000 to defend me against a similar charge. I can assure you that he will get the charge reduced. As far as what Les Miles will do, only Les Miles knows that at this point.

I don't agree with players getting special treatment, but I also don't agree with the fact that they are being labled guilty by over half of this town before we have heard both sides of the story.

I still find it funny that the same people that were rushing to get authographs from these same "young" men just 2 weeks ago are now calling for them to be thrown in prision without telling their side of story.

JUST SAYING

I agree with you. Some are being dicks about it, but dont read too much into that. People will always question "inside info" but its nothing personal.
If you get any more info I would personally like to hear it even it I take it with a grain of salt. Its better to get player gf "rumor" than nothing at all.

A felony charge will not stick for all the reasons you stated above, it's not really the legal thing that we should be asking questions about, it's this:

- Will JJ be suspended for a game, game(s), or the full season?
-Will any of the other players face suspension or just run laps?
- Who will the QB be if JJ gets canned?
-Can we win against Oregon with Jarret Lee (NO), or Mett? (maybe)
-How will this affect the team morale? Will they implode from within or get stronger?

I wasn't trying to be a total dick...Just a little bit of a dick.....I just wish you would phrase what you heard a little differently than saying what you heard is a done deal and concrete.....

I mean if it was a done deal that JJ was going to be charged with 2nd degree battery and suspended for 2 games.....I highly doubt this player, his GF & you are the only people to know it!

If you do not like people questioning your sources and info, then perhaps you should take a different approach in delievering what you have heard

Here's the truth that some of you fail to see:

Charges or no charges, J.L. will be starter because the so called, "big time" leader of the football team had to sneak out, and had to get into a fight, 2 weeks before one of LSU's biggest opening games in history!

Jefferson isn't starting because he "LET" his team down!

Why? I ask that sincerely and have done so since this thing first broke. Why is it good for anyone involved to start tossing around rumors? As Nico stated, are we not LSU fans here? Is it not in the best interest of the program we love to WAIT and allow the investigation to go forward without us churning the pot with round after round of rumors which get out and repeated everywhere as fact?

In no way am I suggesting I don;t want justice done both on and off the field...but until we actually know what the hell happened, what good does it do anyone to be part of the rumor mill? Other than the ability to hang around a message board and claim victory, I see no point in it at all, and frankly I think it does more harm than good.

It's irrelevant whether or not they get charged with a 'felony' from a PR standpoint. They already stained the name of the University, their own names, and potentially f'd up the season just by them being there and participating in the whole deal. Your focus is very myopic, look at the big picture, that's why everyone on here is mad at the players.

I didn't say it was a done deal that he was getting 2nd degree battery charges. Just that he was suspended for at least two games. And as for hearing anything else and posting it, I have received a PM telling me to stop, so I will.not post anything else on here. Sorry.

I don't have to listen to the other side of the story. Athletes in general do this shite all the time. Athletes feel entitled. They feel like they can do anything. Don't try to act all high and mighty and say the entire town is chastising the players. If you want to be honest, they deserve to get chastised. They knew when they broke out after curfew they were doing something wrong. It's their fault, no one else's. It doesn't even matter if the other guys started the fight. They should not have left the dorms. PERIOD!
