HARRIS played good I thought until Bama. Problem was Miles shut him after a few mistakes. Yes, that carried over to Ole Miss & Ark. IMO Miles overreacts to a mistake & will not throw anymore. Last year, Brando said "worst thing that could have happened to HARRIS was throwing int on 1st series of 2nd half against Bama." Let him throw!

K. Tx. I'm sure that affected play-calling. What was his injury?

it's a statistical fact that BH was better than AJ and his stats were not strong but not weak.

I look for substantial improvement this year because of having a year under his belt and I think he will gain confidence early on if the staff will let him toss the rock. also, he should run more after recovering from his injuries.

Sports Hernia, in fact. Not minor in the slightest. Can't believe he played the rest of the season with something like that. That's some willpower.

Brandon Harris tied for 2nd place all time for passing attempts in the OM game, at 51 attempts. The whole premise of your argument is that we shut down passing, and we threw more times than we had in 16 years.

In the arkansas game, it was 35 times. I don't have the complete stats available to verify, but an average of 43 times per game appears to be the most ever attempted by an LSU Tiger in a 2 game stretch. Rohan Davey had 44 and 43 in one season, but weren't consecutive, and would only be .5 attempts over.

This argument is absolutely ridiculous; you, and anyone that agrees with you, has no clue how to objectively evaluate anything, and should refrain from doing so at the expense of losing further credibility.

Harris was awful last year, no better than Jennings the year before him. I'm not ready to write him off, but he has a lot of work to do. If you say otherwise, I just don't know what to tell you.

Yeah, and 2009 was statistically a better year in the stock market than 2008, but I was still wondering if my portfolio was ever going to recover in 2010.

His performance was weak last year statistically. And more importantly, he just never showed up when we needed him. I'm really hoping that he improves this year as well, and agree that he will based upon his time in the program and presumed heightened level of maturity. He is an upper classmen now, and if he plays like it, will give us a huge shot in the arm that we have rarely had at the position in the past 15 years.

Prove it. Seriously, I want to know what makes you think that our QB play put us in any better position to win in 2015 than 2014. Its easy just to drive by and discredit an opinion that you don't agree with.

Look at what I actually posted. We put the game in Harris' hands after the loss to Bama, and were not even competitive in those games. We wanted to fire our coaches over it, but ironically, in those 2 games we actually deviated from our standard and were less competitive than we have ever been in Miles' tenure.

Quit making excuses for the kid. If we are going to be critical of our players and staff, lets be consistent.

Exactly, Harris threw it 86 times in the next 2 losses. I wouldn't call that holding him back.

And that's why people don't like Brando. The worst thing for the TEAM was for Harris to over throw the te once again for a int.

Harris has everything to be a successful QB, plus more. He has heart. Which is pretty rare these days, most play for stats and wouldn't dare risk an injury to make a play. Harris just wants to win, and is such a humble kid while doing it. All he needs is confidence and this rest in Miles and Cams hands, let the kid play the first half of the season and he will excel in the second. let's not just ask him to throw once the running game isn't working. A balanced offense and we win the SEC this year.

If our defense gets run over like it did in those three games, it won't likely matter how good Harris is.

Meh. If we'd had a string of awesome QB performances followed by BH putting up the year he had, I'd pass judgement on BH.

But. We've recruited MULTIPLE QBs rated 4 stars or better in the last several years and other than one shining year that really wasn't as good as it should have been............our QB results have been HIGHLY suspect.

At some point, you have to start looking at the common denominator.

You could have googled this yourself, but you wanted to be a hypocrite instead I guess.

Harris vs Jennings

% 53.8 > 48.9
YPA 7.82 vs 7.10
TDs 13 > 11
INTs 6 > 7
Yards 2,165 vs 1,611
Rating 130.6 > 118.3
Rushing TDs 4 > 0

Damn those stats

Why don't you go ahead and give an objective argument on how Jennings was equal to Harris

Ever since Mett, it has been the same old song and dance, next year will be his year. Maybe we should develop a QB instead of wasting another year
