I disagree but to each there own. Finding the weakness in a team is the easy part. It’s setting plays up to exploit that and then setting plays off of that set up for when they adjust. What has he done that’s shown you he can make in game adjustments and innovate the spread..
I want continuity to but not at the sake of a lesser hire. And to be fair burrow thanks just about everyone because he’s a class act. His comment doesn’t hold a lot of weight with me
And Ensminger... he’s got one year left in his contract.. he has publicly admitted he doesn’t know the spread. If you don’t know a system how can you create wrinkles in it

Why doesn't he seem innovative to you? Do you know the guy? Do you watch the practices? There's no way of knowing this otherwise.

Because he’s only been an oc one year.. and it wasn’t a phenomenal year... and it wasn’t like Brady’s system

I’m curious what about him seems innovative to you? I’d love to be wrong trust me.. from what I’ve seen my bar is very low for him

Look o has made some great hires but he’s also made some shitty ones... need I remind you of Canada?
Posted on 1/15/20 at 2:23 am to treysnaves
He was pressured into making that hire... need I remind you?

I didn't think consultants were allowed to recruit?
Posted on 1/15/20 at 2:28 am to treysnaves
I don't see why you'd want to bring in a whole new OC that would possibly install a whole new system after witnessing arguably the greatest offense college football has ever seen, especially when you have no evidence of JM being a bad candidate. Everyone he's worked with at LSU says quite the contrary.

Is this a joke? Do you honestly believe Ensminger doesnt know the spread right now? He literally just called 15 games with one of the greatest offensive minds sitting 1 foot away from him. Brady brought innovative concepts within the spread no doubt. I can promise you Ensminger came up with wrinkles as well in this championship run.

No shite. Brady and E have been doing it all season. The game plan Is simple; Find the teams weakness (easy part) and Exploit them with superior athletes. Its a philosophy. Brady did not invent the spread offense. He LEARNED IT from the saints and brought it to the college level where if you recruit at a high level you can dominate with athletic superiority. If E develops dementia, then we have a problem. He knows how to run the spread, don't be fricking ridiculous.

You have no evidence to suggest he’s a good hire. When you are on a staff with a great coach it will make all the coaches look good a la patriots.
Why install a new offense? Who says we can’t go get a spread guy... if not we installed this offense in one year so if you have the bodies you can do it again. With the right coaching brains and the talent we have, we just proved it could be done

Well, all these if Brady doesn't take him with himself there.

Finally trusting O is all the evidence I need! It really makes our debate moot.

Yep - and go find a young innovative experiment to develop under Munoz. Keep the pipeline flowing
Posted on 1/15/20 at 5:51 am to 7Tiger7
The mold has been set. now we just need the people to run it!

Amen, Brother. If Coach E really likes him and Joe loved him enough to invite him to New York for the Heisman, promote him and give him a raise and let's move on. It's certainly good enough for me. I expect a quick hire regardless.

The same could have been said for Brady before this season. O saw something in Brady and brought him in, if he does the same with Munoz, that's enough for me. Bottom line, you either trust O or you don't. I do, do you?

If he can recruit, then 100%
Apparently he is the guy that met with Caleb Williams when he visited LSU. He's our 5 star QB we want in 2021.
Also this:
quote:
“He’s the MVP in my room,” Ensminger said of Munoz.
Burrow said he expects Munoz to get a full-time coaching job again soon, so whether he is back in an analyst role after the College Football Playoff is an unknown.
But Munoz has already had an impact on LSU’s quarterbacking future. Nikki Johnson, mother of incoming freshman quarterback Max Johnson, recently named the coaches their family got to know during her son’s recruitment.
She mentioned Orgeron, of course, and Ensminger and Brady.
And Munoz.
