BUT... I absolutely cannot understand why some of you think he only warrants an interview at the most if LSU wins out.

Think about what that could mean... If LSU wins out, that would be wins vs a very possible four Top 10 ranked teams in the last five games. Bama, Florida, aTm and presumably Tennessee. Has that ever been done in five games?

Why on earth would you not hire the guy that does that? Why bring someone in to POTENTIALLY do what we want when we have a guy DOING what we want? And for half the price!!!

Many of you want to look at his coaching record at Ole Miss to make your decisions. That's fair... or is it? How about letting it play out and evaluating Coach O' on his performance at LSU???

Finally, I see nothing wrong with hoping the best for Coach O'. Doesn't that mean LSU is winning? If he fails, so be it! Then look elsewhere. Just allow the season to play out and give him a fair opportunity. That's all many O' supporters on here want. A fair evaluation for Yaw-Yaw.

I'm for letting the season ride out l. I hate seeing threads about why we shouldn't just make him a coach now.

anyone that brings up his OM failure as evidence that he cant coach should look at some other great coaches.

Bill Belicheck was fired from Cleveland before his NE stint

Saban was fired from Miami

Pete Carrol was fired from the eagles

Point is, people learn from their mistakes and get better.

Don't forget Bill Arnsparger was fired as an NFL coach for one of the most humiliating losses ever, fumbling the ball away for a touchdown, after retreating into victory formation!
